Contact Your U.S. Representative Today Tell Them Vote NO H.R. 8 & H.R. 1112

Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- H.R. 8 and H.R. 1112 are up for a vote this week in the U.S. House of Representatives! These are Pelosi-Bloomberg gun control bills designed to score political points, and they won’t have any impact on crime or criminals, don’t address America’s broken mental health system and don’t address the underlying causes of violence. For more information, click here and here.

Take Action Button

H.R. 8 criminalizes the private transfer of firearms and targets law-abiding gun owners for persecution. It would make criminals out of law-abiding gun owners for simply loaning a firearm to a friend or some family members. This bill would not stop criminals from obtaining guns because criminals do not comply with the law. And the legislation would be unenforceable without federal gun registration.

H.R. 1112 would allow the government to arbitrarily deny firearm purchases for law-abiding Americans. The legislation creates an unworkable system where gun buyers could be placed in an endless loop of background checks and would never actually receive the firearms they wish to purchase.

It’s imperative that you take action now to stop this ineffective and unenforceable gun control. Please use this link to let your elected officials know that you won’t be blamed for the actions of violent criminals. Ask your Representative to oppose H.R. 8 and H.R 1112. Additionally, you may call your U.S. Representative using the Capitol switchboard at 202-224-3121.

Thank you.

I spent about half of last Sunday night sending emails to members of the Georgia House of Representatives. They have an upcoming vote on Constitutional carry. If we can get this bill through the House our newly elected Governor, Brian Kemp will sign it into law. Everybody join our cause and send an email or call the members of the Ga. House of representatives and let them know how you feel about the second amendment and Constitutional carry. We will get this passed and make it 14 states and counting. Slowly but surely we can get this passed in every… Read more »

Where is the Pro-Gun legislation? There are a lot of Anti-Gun bills being pushed, and not a lot, if any Pro-Gun bills… I’ve said it before, if Democracy is to work, there needs to be equal adjustments on both sides. Universal Background Checks + No Concealed Carry Permits. (If you’re vetted, then you should be g2g.) Harsher sentences for egregious firearm related crimes + Fines for law abiding gun owners. (A citizen who makes the effort to check the boxes shouldn’t be treated like a common criminal because of an error.) Magazine, suppressor, attachment restrictions + State Sponsored events and… Read more »

We are not a democracy, and I won’t compromise on my individual rights. Sorry.

A wise man once said “Those who give up essential liberty for a little temporary security, deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

My rights are not for sale, and they are not tools with which to compromise. That may very well upset you, but that’s the great thing about individual rights. Just because someone else is mad they still aren’t allowed to touch another persons rights.

Think for a moment what these bills are about. (1) Background checks for ALL transactions, even gifts, family xfers, etc. (2) Suspension of background check system for longer periods (3) Future president declares “national emergency” and shuts down background check system for 6 months/year. How many gun stores can withstand a suspension of sales for that long and survive? Not many. This is the Democrat plan all along. Do not let it happen!

Every new call for new gun laws is a tacit, but silent, admission that all previously enacted laws do not work. This also provides empirical evidence that new laws will be subject to the same results except in the case of an outright ban on private ownership of guns. This has always been the Left’s goal.
