Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- The National Rifle Association today applauded South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem for signing into law Senate Bill 47, NRA-backed legislation that fully recognizes the constitutional right of law-abiding gun owners to carry a concealed firearm.

“On behalf of the NRA's five-million members, we would like to thank Governor Noem for her leadership on this critical issue,” said Chris W. Cox, Executive Director of the NRA-ILA. “This law is a common sense measure that allows law-abiding South Dakotans to exercise their fundamental right to self-protection in the manner that best suits their needs.”

This was the first bill Governor Noem signed into law.

South Dakota already recognizes the right to carry a firearm openly without a permit. Current law, however, requires a state-issued permit to carry that same firearm under a coat or in a bag. This new law simply extends the current open carry rule to concealed carry. Those who obtain permits will still enjoy the reciprocity agreements that South Dakota has with other states.

With this law, South Dakota joins Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Idaho, Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Missouri, Vermont, West Virginia, Wyoming, New Hampshire and North Dakota as the fourteenth state that allows constitutional carry.

It is NOT truly “Constitutional Carry” until there are NO restrictions as to what, where, when OR how one can carry!

Wow . . . . I did not do that! For some reason, it said my original was a “duplicate” comment, so I added a couple of words and it posted them both!

Infrigments of the rights on good people who abide by laws and rules that save lives doesn’t effect the EVIL people commitment to do harm to others think GOD WE HAVE SOME THAT GET RIGHT

Good deal and hopefully Oklahoma will quit playing politics and do the right thing the shoulda done already.
The NRA and FBI have a lot in common on taking credit when others do the work.

Shame the NRA couldn’t back the permitless carry bill that was in committee here in TN but they threw all their efforts into parks gun bill that got passed ahead of the NRA annual meeting in Nashville that year. The NRA could care less about constitutional carry legislation and only time they voice support is when it appears it’s going to pass.

This is yet another example of NRA STEALING – Yes, I said STEALING – the valor of other gun rights groups who worked so hard to advance the 2nd Amendment!!

When you subtract all these instances of stolen valor, the NRA is left only with its record of caving to the gun control movement as it has done since its’ inception!

The more that the NRA pulls this kind of [email protected], the more I am convinced that the NRA should – for the good of gun owners nationwide – be abolished forever. THE NRA IS THE ENEMY WITHIN!

What the hell did the NRA have to do with this?!

I fired off a nasty note to my state senator, telling him to observe what just happened in South Dakota. Don’t worry – Texas won’t get constitutional carry thanks to the turncoat Speaker of the House, Dennis Bonnen. He is “A” rated, NOT “A+” rated. You all know the difference…..

Once again NRA taking credit for something it had absolutely NOTHING to do with.
