All New Security-9 from Ruger
Ruger will be providing Security-9 pistols for a “Close Quarters Combat” range instruction led by Glen Stilson, United States Army Veteran and Owner and Head Instructor of Independence Training.
  • Compact for easy concealment, the Security-9® is designed to fit a variety of available holsters.
  • Rugged construction with blued, through-hardened alloy steel slide and barrel and high-performance, glass-filled nylon grip frame.
  • Precision-machined, hard-coat anodized aluminum chassis with full-length guide rails.
  • The Secure Action used in the LCP® II and Security-9® is derived from the reliable and proven hammer-fired LCP® fire control system. The Secure Action combines the smooth trigger pull of the LCP® with the short, crisp feel and positive reset of a single action.
  • Textured grip frame provides a secure and comfortable grip.
  • Dovetailed, high-visibility sight system with drift adjustable rear sight and fixed front sight. Sights can be easily changed out for different color options (available separately).
  • Internal, Secure Action hammer provides strong ignition force, yet allows for easier slide racking when compared with many striker-fired pistols. Front cocking serrations enable positive slide manipulation.
  • Safety features include integrated trigger safety; external manual safety; neutrally balanced sear with significant engagement and strong spring tension; and hammer catch to help prevent the hammer from contacting the firing pin unless the trigger is pulled.
  • Safe, easy takedown with no special tools or trigger pull required.
  • Also includes: two alloy steel magazines.

Ruger Announces Six New PC Carbine Models

Read AmmoLand New’s recent review of the Ruger PC Carbine with M-LOK handguard and find out why the early cowboys had it all right.

  • CNC-milled handguard that is Type III hard-coat anodized aluminum for maximum durability, with Magpul® M-LOK® accessory attachment slots on all four sides for easy mounting of M-LOK-compatible rails and accessories.
  • Interchangeable magazine wells for use of common Ruger® and Glock® magazines. Ships with SR-Series™/Security-9® pistol magazine well installed and an additional magazine well accepting Glock® magazines is included*. Ruger American® Pistol magazine wells are available at
  • Easy takedown enables quick separation of the barrel/forend assembly from the action for ease of transportation and storage. Takedown is as simple as locking the bolt back and verifying that the rifle is unloaded, pushing a recessed lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart.
  • Dead blow action features a custom tungsten dead blow weight that shortens bolt travel and reduces felt recoil and muzzle rise. Bolt is machined from heat treated, chrome-moly steel to ensure strength, structural integrity and durability.
  • Reversible magazine release and reversible charging handle to support ambidextrous use or one-handed control manipulation while maintaining a proper firing grip*.
  • Cold hammer-forged, chrome-moly steel barrel with ultra-precise rifling provides exceptional accuracy and longevity. The heavy contour barrel provides consistent accuracy, while barrel fluting sheds unnecessary weight and allows for quick handling.
  • Threaded barrel with included thread protector allows for use of standard muzzle accessories.
  • Accurate sighting system with adjustable ghost ring rear aperture sight and non-glare, protected blade front sight.
  • Soft rubber buttpad with spacers allows the rifle to be properly sized for different shooters or varying levels of outerwear or defensive gear (three, 1/2″ spacers included).
  • Durable, glass-filled nylon synthetic buttstock features a proprietary texture for enhanced control and an integral sling mount for rapid sling attachment .
  • Light, crisp trigger pull with minimal overtravel and positive reset utilizing proven 10/22® trigger components.
  • CNC-machined from an aerospace-grade 7075-T6 aluminum billet, the receiver includes an integrated Picatinny rail and is Type III hard-coat anodized for maximum durability.
  • Also includes: one, SR-Series™ pistol magazine and hex wrenches for rear sight adjustment, buttpad spacer adjustment and charging handle removal.

Dee Rittenour

I’m a retired Army (GRUNT) Airborne Pathfinder . I’ve fired. many different pistols and rifles and the absolute best civilian handgun for the quality and price is STURM RUGERS hands down. I’ve had a 10/22 for my first rifle and the first pistol was a P90 45cal and I hàve been in love since.

John Baker

I’ve wanted one of these and have been waiting for two options. Ruger has now addressed the free floating rail option. I would even have settled for a short section of 1913 rail up front. Now for a Butler Creek folding stock and ones in FDE, OD, camo, and/or ideally a stainless all weather version. (Yes, I know I can coat it)

Why is this NOT legal in Illinois?

Because Socialist/Communist are in control in case you haven’t noticed.

“All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party.”
– Mao Tze Tung, Nov 6 1938

It is legal. It’s just that it’s not “legal” with respect to the infringements that the elites there have managed to establish and maintain.

Owning a Ruger is like have a great woman in your life. They are dependable and reliable! Plus, they always stand by you through the test of times. Who can afford not to have one!

Luckily I have both. The Rugers have proven themselves to be much less expensive and a bit more reliable.

I have a brand new Ruger Precision Rimfire. Love it.

Ed Bizilia

I am a new CCW carrier. My first gun purchase was a Ruger LCR 22wmr. Several fellow friends highly recommended the Ruger. I am planning on purchasing another Ruger for pocket carry and a Ruger for my vehicle. Winning this package would be icing on a cake!

Try a Hawkeye Customs cheek riser on the stock for perfect eye alignment when using an optic. I love mine on my PC9! Serves the purpose and looks awesome on the stock. Perfect fit and under $30 on eBay.

David Sproul

I have a Ruger SR9c and a 10/22 TD. Love them both. Would love to have the PCC also!

Don Sampsel

Josh lewis

I already have 3 Ruger weapons. All fantastic. Hopefully I can add 2 more. Wink, wink. 😉

I have a Ruger Mini-14 and a 10/22, I usually get my guns from people that sell them and the price is affordable, but sadly I rarely come upon Rugers for resale, even at auctions. Would love to have this pair – WISHFUL THINKING!

Steve Gemmen

Ever since a friend showed me his LCP 2 I’ve wanted to join the gun owning community. I had the money saved up once and walked into the FFL with cash in my pocket but they were out of stock of the sale weapon they advertised. Then life happened again and I haven’t been able to save up for my first purchase again. All you guys that have a collection and still want to win another: I don’t blame you, I’d want another too… Good luck everyone!

Dave in Fairfax

Check your local pawn shops. Lots of Rugers at the ones near me.

Kir Rich

Just curious as to what you (David McMeekin) think of the trigger on the LC9. I disliked it and sold it. All the other Ruger firearms I own are just great with my fave being the Gunsite Scout Rifle.

Charles Cavalier

I have the LC9s and the trigger is great. My wife owns the LC380 and it has the double action trigger, I can fired that just as well. Just take some time to get used to it. I pocket carry and IWB carry the LC9s. I also own the SR40C (my first pistol), a 10/22 (my first ever rifle/gun) and a Ruger American Rifle in .240 (Shot my first deer). I also own an AR-15 (Springfield Armory), and a S&W pistol. My favorite would be the SR40C. The two best triggers are in the SR40C and the LC9s. I also… Read more »
