USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Time is burning and we need all voting members on deck for this one. In order to get this in front of the Board of Directors via member petition we need 250 valid signatures of voting members turned in to us by August 1st 2019. We’ve already gotten some back, so jump on board with your fellow members and let’s make some actual progress in reforming OUR NRA.
Check out the petitions page, download, fill out, and mail this sucker back to us! Don’t wait till tomorrow to get this thing downloaded and filled out, do it tonight.
If you have a gun store you go to often, a club, a range, a group of friends, please do all the NRA members a favor and try to get additional signatures on your petition. Comment on your favorite podcasts and let the hosts know. Please share our posts on Facebook. There are a lot of little ways to get involved and help this effort that really only require a few minutes of your time.
We have a number of things in the works behind the scenes at present. As we get closer to the next Director’s meeting in Alaska we’ll be revealing more. There’s also the road to NRAAM ahead.. Are you going? If so it’s time to start planning.

Save the Second, a non-profit organization, was formed in June of 2019 to represent the concerns of NRA Members, as well as former and potential NRA Members, who believe that the leadership and strategies of the NRA have failed and that the organization needs to be reformed in order to effectively represent American Gun Owners and their concerns. STS has proposed Five Points of Reform at their website savethe2a.org for consideration to improve the NRA.

Board meeting in Alaska, that is what a broke company should do with many lawsuits pending. Sorry, this sounds too much like a plea for more money to the NRA. I can’t see any changes being made yet. Or I should say, they are just slapping us in the face even more. They can go suck eggs as far as I’m concerned. Let me know when all the BS has been shoveled out and the barn is clean again.

@ Dave in Fairfax I know what the article is about. I was just commenting about the trip to Alaska. This was the first I had heard about it and it set me back in my chair that they could continue using more of members money for their pleasure. They won’t be using my money any longer.
I’ve never heard of this organization, though I like the idea very much. Are they legit? Don’t want to give my NRA membership info away without being sure.

@Snuffy, the answer to your question probably depends greatly on where you start from. I am sure Wayne and the boys don’t have much good to say about them but check out the principals. In my opinion, Garcia and Pincus are extremely legit. I can’t help since I dropped my membership some time ago but I have been following Pincus on the podcasts and I am convinced this is a authentic effort to reform the NRA. That’s my two cents worth.
Damn right their legitimate, and they are infinitely far more “legit” than the sum total of all the whining, anti NRA gun owners on this board, voting members or not. I’ve been a voting member since I came home from NAM in 69, and a life member for the past 20 years in-spite of my deep mistrust and disapproval of La Pierre.

Go get um guys! Almost makes me wish I hadn’t dropped the NRA some time ago. I hope you reach your stated goal but no matter what happens you are going to win. Either you will get your changes or you will find out how entrenched and corrupt the system is. If it is salvageable that’s awesome and if it isn’t, everyone needs to know that so more folk will move over the SAF and GOA. I’m six months short of being able to vote. Figures. However, I will give no more money to the NRA until they get their act together. If they don’t, we are all losing…..The attach on the 2nd will never stop and we need the NRA to stand up and do what they were intended to do……fight for our rights…..not go on fishing trips using our money.
