WEST HARTFORD, CONN., – -(AmmoLand.com)- Colt continues to develop its re-imagined family of “snake guns” with the release of the much-anticipated King Cobra Target. Featuring a 41⁄4” barrel, adjustable rear sight, elevated fiber optic front sight, and custom wood medallion grips, this revolver was thoughtfully engineered to adapt the powerful .357 magnum King Cobra to the competitive range.
The new Colt King Cobra Target Revolver is available now through the Colt dealer network for $999 MSRP.
Forged from American stainless steel, the 6-round capacity, double-action revolver is the third model in the modern King Cobra series. Colt reintroduced King Cobra .357 in January 2019, followed by the King Cobra Carry in May of 2019. Colt’s snake guns continue to be popular for defense, target shooting, and with collectors.
“After releasing the King Cobra earlier this year we received a flood of requests for a 4” model with adjustable sights. Our customers are excited to bring their Colts to the range and the King Cobra Target is engineered for accurate and enjoyable shooting. The longer barrel and custom wood grips also just look fantastic,” said Justin Baldini, Director of Marketing at Colt. “We’ve precisely tweaked this revolver to get it exactly where we want it and know our customers will feel the difference.”
Customers can visit colt.com to purchase the King Cobra Target and find their local stocking dealer.

Great looking revolver.
Would have liked a rib vented Barrel.. but that’s more like it.. none of that 3 inch barrel only garbage… very close to a python.. They need to go ahead and release it now in a 4 inch and 6 inch Barrel… and please make revolvers with night sights!.. people do carry those at night for self dense..
Good to see Colt reviving their revolver line.
I have a 2019 3″ Colt King Cobra. Out of the box it’s a tack driver with a smooth double action trigger and Gold Bead front sight. The factory, overmolded rubber grips make it comfortable and controllable to shoot with .357s. With 38s, it’s an almost zero felt recoil, fun shooter.
Vent the rib and go 6″, might think about it then.
Almost in my price range…haha Maybe have to save up for awhile now. Would like to have it in 6″ though!!
@Eyes, Perhaps a Christmas present to one’s self might not be inappropriate.
I’m surprised at the MSRP being as low as it is. I hope the quality is there that once was Colt’s.
A 41/4″ barrel? That’s over 10″!
That’s great does it have the original Python trigger?
