Why Suppressors? The Benefits are Surprising

U.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- Silent Legion is a driving force in the manufacturing of durable, high-performance firearm suppressors. Experienced shooters know the effects of shooting regularly, while beginners are often surprised by the decibel level of firearms and the recoil.

The suppressor has a wide range of benefits, but the primary function of all suppressors is safety. The primary safety function is the sound level reduction. Shooting suppressed can mitigate serious hearing loss by reducing the audible decibel level of your firearm. Earplugs and other forms of hearing protection are effective, and every shooter should use protection at the range. Meanwhile, shooting in the field often happens without any hearing protection.

To understand the impact of shooting without hearing protection, consider that hearing damage that occurs at a decibel level of 140. Everything above this level increases the amount of damage that leads to hearing loss. Stand next to a fighter jet and you are likely to have hearing loss from the 150 decibel sound level. The average firearm has an incredible 160 decibels, and many shooters are experiencing this level repeatedly. In essence, shooting firearms without hearing protection is like working in an airfield of fighter jets without earplugs.

Shooting with a suppressor drops the decibel level significantly, moving it into the safe zone of 130 decibels or less. This equivocates with sounds like a jackhammer or chainsaw; still worthy of hearing protection for comfort, but safer than shooting unsuppressed.

Additionally, shooting suppressed reduces the audible sound heard by everyone, making it less disturbing for everyone in the area. Throw in the reduced recoil that helps increase accuracy while extending your physical abilities to shoot more in a single outing, and the benefits of suppressors become exceptionally desirable for everyone.

Silent Legion understands the needs of shooters and hunters. They have been delivering cutting edge gun and accessory designs for decades and take exceptional pride in leading the field of suppressor technology. The Silent Legion name underlines their core philosophy and stands for strength, honor and a belief in helping others. I can’t afford a muffler for my firearms, had to pay a ticket and get the muffler on my car fixed though. I’m guessing one is better for climate change than the other. Must be, or the law wouldn’t be completely retarded. Btw, I couldn’t hear the response from liberal’s, either they’re scared or this makes too much common sense. What?

Wild Bill

Yes, if a gun muffler allows me to do a bad thing without people being alerted, then a car muffler allows me to sneak up on, commit a bad act, and escape without people being alerted.
If a car muffler is required because my loud car annoys the neighborhood, then a gun muffler should be required because my loud gun annoys the neighborhood.

This article starts out by claiming multiple advantages then only mentions one. ??
It doesn’t acknowledge that hearing damage starts at 88-90 decibels! Suppressors do not make Shooting with 130 decibels, hearing safe!! Ask me how I know, but speak up!
