Chief Tactical Instructor Bob Prause This Week – Gun For Hire Radio

New Jersey – -(AmmoLand.com)- Mr. Robert Prause (lovingly referred heretofore as “Bob”) is our distinguished Guest of Honor this week on Gun For Hire Radio! Bob is Anthony’s and Jimmy’s point-man for the Woodland Park Range tactical training classes, and Bob also does intensive one-on-one classes for the firearms aficionado.

From our “post-basics” Holster Draw classes up through our Pistol, Rifle and Shotgun specific, Urban Precision Series of training classes, Bob is integral in compiling the logistical maneuvers and critiquing students so that they learn proper techniques and retain the ability to employ the best practices, during simulated scenarios where any good-natured head-of-household, or even a seasoned Law Enforcement Professional, would be under duress.

Bob Prause is a former United States Marine and Veteran Law Enforcement Officer with over 25 years of experience. He brings a vast amount of “real world” tactical knowledge to the Gun For Hire Family.

Some of Bob’s prior assignments include Captain in charge of the Passaic County narcotics and violent street gang task forces. Bob also served 14 years as an operator and senior operator on the Passaic County Special Weapons Team (SWAT), serving in the capacity of point entry, sniper, sniper team leader, team leader and overall team commander. He planned and executed over 500 high-risk operations. Bob is a certified law enforcement firearms instructor, and he holds instructor certifications in submachine gun and precision rifle.

Police officers are intently instructed and dutifully dispatched in order to save lives, but they must also be imparted to grasp the inconceivable notion that every distress call comes with it the potential of being confronted with an armed response. As such, it was (and kind of still is in some places) that the general opinion, of many of the other officers and even the brass, considers the “gun nuts” to be on the fringes of the police department culture. Unfortunately, many law enforcement officers aren’t as familiar with the tools of their trade as they could be. A select few, will be challenged in the field on these merits and we hope that they will prevail without unnecessary injury, but Bob wasn’t satisfied with just being “proficient” in a yearly police department qualification, and so he honed his skills by seeking out others that shared his passion. Bob’s extensive knowledge and expertise is a result of his desire for a lifetime of learning, and it’s what has propelled him into the ranks of the professional marksmen of the NRA Certified Trainers. We are proud to have Bob Prause, and others with his remarkable character, such as Tom Giordano, Tony “Bones” Urena, Wayne Monico and Vlad Vaval, here for your benefit at the Woodland Park Range, courtesy of Gun For Hire.

One of Anthony’s original Gun For Hire tenets, exemplified by Bob Prause, is that you must take responsibility for your personal protection, and those of us that agree know that a highly skilled firearms enthusiast is poised to do so. The unfortunate fact of the matter is that the chips are stacked against gun owners in New Jersey, and it is becoming increasingly more difficult for you to lawfully protect yourself, your family and your personal property. “If you are tired of being told you do not have need for a 2C:58-4 Permit, please donate to the Cheeseman-Jillard case. Every dollar will go to defeating the Siccardi Rule and NJAC 13:54-2.4d-1.” The Cheeseman-Jillard suit is called “Support the Restore Carry to NJ cause,” and the GoFundMe page is www.gofundme.com/restore-carry-nj and put in the notes on the GoFundMe.com page, “I am not an #SMP.” You can also donate to the cause by going to the CNJFO website link at: www.cnjfo.com/Donate. The Cheeseman-Jillard cases which were both denied at the State level are heading to the Supreme Court and they are just about $5,000 short of their goal to be able to fight the good fight for the rights of all of us! If you value those rights as an American, you should donate to the cause.

Are you a resident of New Jersey that feels like the criminals have more protection in the courts and from the government, than do the law-abiding citizens? Have you or your family been subjected to the unlawful directives put in place by the sycophantic Murphy syndicate, vis-à-vis his head henchman, goober Grewal? Do you want the “Law of the Land” to be the unequivocal and irrevocable, Constitution of the United States of America, which fundamentally (and automatically) dispels the pedantic meanderings of a carpet-bagging, globe-trotting, socialist outlander? There are several places you can now go to sign the petition to recall the New Jersey gubernatorial election. It just so happens that The Woodland Park Range in Woodland Park, New Jersey is one those places! Come on down to Gun For Hire and our friendly Concierge staff will get your information and notarize your signature. If you want to oust Murphy, you can access more details about the recall here: helpsavenj.com/

Was so nervous the first time I stepped foot in the port during an NRA Basic Pistol class at this range. Ed Leung and Wayne Monico were the instructors and they were amazing! I truly can’t say enough good things about the staff at this place, and just listening to the podcast every week gives me info I never see in the main stream media. I hear so much about the higher tactical classes and how much fun they are. It’s Holster Draw time!! Thank you for all you do!!

The amount of work, effort and countless hours Anthony and his team puts forward to create a positive direction for the 2A community is only slowed down by these fuckin anchors. It’s not surprising all these gun laws are being approved. You shitbags just sit and complain like most and then complain more when bullshit laws are approved. All the while the person on the front lines like Anthony and Bob are putting in the hard hours every single day. Day-in and day-out. Every fuckin day recruiting more to the pro 2A side. You sound like a fuckin baby “my… Read more »

Way to go, calling NRA Life Members “shitbags”. Just the attitude that we have come to expect from the Wayne LaPierre fan club. The new member engagement strategy is really working out. LOL. Who gave President Trump thumbs up on the bump stock ban? Who lobbied for the red flag law currently being discussed by Congress? Who raised money on state gun rights issues and then left those states behind? Who pushed for carry permit schemes to make money on training and opposed permitless carry? Who used membership and donor money to fund charter flights to the Bahamas and Europe,… Read more »

Never said I was a fan of NRA or Wayne. But I would like to put in writing I am a fan of supporting ALL WHO FIGHT FOR THE CAUSE and the work they do to MOVE it FORWARD. I know when we move forward as a team we are unstoppable. Unfortunately most are too busy attacking the very people working hard to make a positive difference that all gun owners would appreciate. Like I said, all anchors. Sad you don’t realize that the people like Anthony and Bob you’re questioning are on a relentless move to change the current… Read more »

Anthony Colandro is on the NRA Board of Directors and as such DIRECTLY responsible for what is going on at the NRA right now. He usually has a big mouth, but said absolutely NOTHING about the current state of the NRA. Silence is support of the status quo! It is easy to have a big mouth when there is no personal risk, which is what Anthony Colandro did for years in NJ. Now, he has to put up or shut up. It’s game time! 6 NRA Directors have resigned over the current state of the NRA, after voicing their opposition… Read more »

, It is true that I have not made a career of defending the Second Amendment. I only sent money the NRA, and letters to Congresspersons, and other politicians when ever I was back in the US, but I was kind of busy.
PS, No one used the term front lines anymore. It is called the FEBA (Forward Edge of the Battle Area).

Wild Bill, LoL on comment concerning Matt. It is apparent that AC doesn’t realize that other people have responsibilities and commitments other than fighting a losing battle with NJ. As in your case of being preoccupied on the front lines and Will tending to his duties to help feed the public is not enough, according to this cigar smoking mafia look alike. If there is a million gun owners in NJ why is the government so progressive left?

Anthony Colandro, the NRA has been dividing the American gun culture for years by supporting gun control, while at the same time several NRA Directors and Officers have embezzled NRA funds. Are you, as an NRA Director, going to do something about that? Are you going to continue to support the cult of personality within the NRA leadership? Are you going to continue to oppose accountability and transparency within the NRA leadership? It is easy to have a big mouth and chest thump. It is hard to do the right thing and stand up. By the way, any word yet… Read more »

Id like your take on nra/wlp employing a law firm that fills its wallet with nra dollars and dumps some of those dollars into the campaigns of democrat gungrabbers. And although im pretty sure ive not put as much money as you have in the 2a political war i have been fighting it since the early 80s.i also know if we lose that war the real war begins.i will fight that war too.
I am a regular listener of your podcast and find it informative and entertaining.
