MEMPHIS, Tennessee – -(AmmoLand.com)- The Ducks Unlimited Ecology Conservation and Management Certification is now available on the iCEV industry certification online testing platform. iCEV is a division of CEV Multimedia.

This certification is designed to prepare individuals for a meaningful career in natural resources management and help the next generation understand ecology issues and gain experience in the field of wildlife and habitat conservation.

“The Ecology Conservation and Management Certification provides a strong foundation in basic ecology and natural resource management,” said DU Chief Scientist Dr. Tom Moorman.

“It gives students working toward a college degree and a career in natural resources management a detailed exploration of the science that is the foundation of this profession. For students who choose a career in agriculture, forestry or other natural resources, this certification helps them be better stewards of land.”

Mark Horobetz, Ducks Unlimited manager of youth and education programs, said the program provides career insight in the conservation field.

“It’s important that students understand not only the conservation and ecology of wildlife and wildlife habitat but also their personal roles as future stewards,” Horobetz said.

The Ecology Conservation and Management Certification exam consists of 100 questions and assesses knowledge and skills from the following weighted industry standards including ecological principles, species identification, wildlife and habitat conservation management.

As the testing platform, iCEV:

  • Provides secure testing technology for certification exams
  • Regulates testing environment
  • Works with secondary and post-secondary academic institutions, workforce development associations and the public-at-large to offer certification options for career advancement
  • Provides certification verification to employers for potential job applicants
  • Offers optional study-guide material.

“With the backing of a respected organization such as Ducks Unlimited, the Ecology Conservation and Management Certification will be a valuable credential for job applicants and employers,” said CEV Multimedia Vice President of Brand Management Clayton Franklin.
