Buckets of Federal’s Award-Winning Syntech Range Ammunition Now Available

U.S.A.-(Ammoland.com)- From the largest ammunition manufacturer of the world comes all-new Syntech Bulk Buckets boast 250 to 500 rounds packed in rugged plastic buckets that stack, store and transport easily. Shipments of this product have been delivered to dealers.

“Conventional ammunition causes metal-on-metal contact between the bullet and bore, which can shorten barrel life and rob accuracy. The polymer-encapsulated Syntech bullet prevents this, while eliminating copper and lead fouling,” explained Federal Handgun Ammunition Product Manager Chris Laack. “Combined with specialized clean-burning powders, your gun will stay cleaner, longer, so you can shoot more and shoot better. The exclusive Catalyst primer provides the cleanest most consistent ignition possible. That’s why it received the 2017 NRA Golden Bullseye Award. And now, we sell it by the bucket full.”

The one-of-a-kind TSJ projectile uses a polymer jacket to eliminate metal fouling and drastically reduce damaging barrel heat and friction. The bullet style also minimizes splash-back on steel targets. Its exclusive Catalyst primer provides hot, reliable ignition without the use of lead. There’s never been a better way to have an epic day at the range.

Those prices seem way out of wack. Maybe my math is just wrong.

Nope – you are correct. 500 rounds of 9mm syntech for $195 vs 1000 rounds Geco FMJ for $160 @ sgammo today (brass case, copper jacket) — I think it’s worth cleaning my barrels once in a while. Given expected life of a pistol barrel, I don’t think barrel wear even factors in.
Don’t know if they make rifle ammo, where wear does factor in – however I suspect barrel replacement cost would be covered within the first 1000 rounds for a 223.

Properly taken care of a barrel will last a long time with a rational cartridge. My Savage Model 10FP in 308 went over 7000 rounds and would still shoot all day long under an inch at 100 yds with the load it liked. There at the end the LOA was 3.06″ to touch the lands. The bullet was the Sierra 180 GameKing a spitzer, flat based hunting bullet. I paid around $13.00 per hundred for most of those bullets. So, just the bullet cost, not counting primers and powder, was around $900.00, twice what I paid for the gun. It… Read more »

Well, I won’t buy any of those. I did buy 6300 rounds of Winchester plated, 36 gr, hollow point 22LR today. Cost me a total, including tax, of $261. At just a hair over four cents a round not a bad deal. Puts me over 20,000 rds of 22lr. Something for the grandsons.

JFCrosby

Twice as much as regular, jacketed ammo. Not an option…

Expensive. 38.8 cents a round for the 9mm. 500 round bucket.
50 cents a round for the 40 S&W 350 round bucket.

Mike

You can buy these in boxes at most bulk ammo sites for $116 per 500 rounds?

Hooey

$187.95 for 300 .45ACP? $187.95/300 = ‭0.6265‬. Why would I pay twice as much as I usually pay? I actually enjoy cleaning my gun anyway. Sorry, even if they gave free shipping, (which I doubt), there is no way I can afford these prices.

You have to wonder what’s in their heads at the time when they come out with something like this. My math shows that each round of 500 is nearly 39 cents per round, where (194 / 500) = 38.8. There are better ways to go.

Yeah, screw the environment, your health and the health of your fellow shooters. Copper and lead plattered everywhere is always the best choice. Those people at Federal must be dumb to come up with a product that increases health and safety for additional cost.
Thank you Ammoland for providing shooting sports information that affords me knowledge to make choices.

@Twistedwires, Copper and lead are splattered, naturally, all over the planet, by the earth, itself.

RoyD

Wt, make sure you are using lead free primers as regular primers were found to be the most responsible for lead contamination of the body during shooting. Oh, you also might want to stop licking the exposed lead on JSPs. Just sayin.

@Roy, Good humor!
