Fairfax, VA – -(Ammoland.com)- Gun bans, gun rationing, confiscation – it’s all on the table when the newly bought and paid for majority of the Virginia General Assembly fast tracks their anti-gun agenda in January. They will gladly cast your right of self-defense aside as they try to check off every gun control scheme on Michael Bloomberg’s wish-list.

This fight begins on January 13th during the first hearing of the Senate Courts of Justice Committee, and we must hold tyranny in check. While it is important for Virginia gun owners to make their voices heard at all times, it is critical on this first day.

The pace of this session will be like none we have seen in recent history. Waiting even one week to visit the Capitol, whether on your own or at an organized event will be too late. It is time to stand with your fellow NRA members and urge the committee to block the Bloomberg – Northam gun ban. Together, we will defend our freedom.

January 13, 2020, starting 8AM
Virginia State Capitol
1000 Bank St.
Richmond, VA 23218

NRA staff will be on-site with giveaways, including an emergency airdrop from Magpul.

Be on the lookout for postcards and emails with legislative updates and upcoming townhall events to defend and fight for our rights. We trust that when called upon, NRA Members will show Bloomberg and Northam why we are the most formidable political force in history. Stay Tuned – Get Active – Let’s Stand and Fight!

It says, “It is time to stand with your fellow NRA members and urge the committee to block the Bloomberg – Northam gun ban.“ Yet the NRA hasn’t had squat to do with the entire sanctuary movement. That’s great you’re FINALLY getting involved here, but don’t you dare insult the people by trying to take ownership or leadership of this fight! This is a fight led by Virginia gun owners, and partially organized by the Virginia Defense League. It should state, “Virginians have done an amazing job so far, getting over 90% of the counties to confirm their support for… Read more »

Heed the Call-up

Arizona, the 2A resolution campaign is being run by the VCDL. The reason people are at these meetings is due to the VCDL’s email campaign notifying everyone on when these localities are having their meetings. The VCDL members and those that get the email notifications, about 30,000 people, are getting the word out and getting people to these meetings. In the small, rural areas, the attendance has been at least several hundred or more; in the larger areas, the attendance has been at least one thousand to several thousand. There are now 115 of 133 localities was n Virginia that… Read more »

“Together, we will defend our freedom.”
Well, where the hell was the NRA months ago? oh, I forgot. the rest of Virginia was too far away from Fairfax, VA to actually go out and participate.

“NRA staff will be on-site…” hard-selling memberships, gotta collect them dues!

Bonedaddy

Yea looking for your will so they can change it. LOL

Finnky

@Baldwin – A while back I ‘got around’ to joining the NRA, believe I paid for two year membership. Within a month I started receiving letters saying it was time to renew and please send money. Even if they were the best thing since shredded cheese – that would have been the end for me. Everything else since has just pushed me further away. I do appreciate them being the whipping boy for gun grabbers. I’m fine with bloomy tying wayne to a post in times square and giving him 100 lashes. Heck if they televise it I’ll be sure… Read more »

The VCDL (Virginia Citizens Defense League) and GOA (Gun Owners of America) are responsible for the huge successful results in the 2A Sanctuary movement in Virginia. An appropriate action for the NRA would be to throw support behind the upcoming lobby day in the capital rather than trying to steal the thunder for their own benefit. The VCDL was present at every County Board meeting that heard and voted on the Sanctuary resolutions over the last months. Just look at the photos of those meetings. Every citizen is wearing a VCDL sticker and the NRA was no where to be… Read more »

NRA ! WTF are you doing? Are you deliberately sabotaging the VCDL Lobby Day Rally set for a week later at the same location ? It sounds mighty like a Democrat trick to belittle the VCDLs Annual Rally at the Richmond Capital, that we have been holding there for many years !!!! I have been a loyal member of the NRA for half a century, but not anymore! Have you been infiltrated by the Commicrats ? Otherwise you are just stepping on your own dicks !!!!!

Will Flatt

This is just the NRA squatting on the hard efforts of other gun groups like GOA and FPC, so they can claim all this grassroots work as their own, then strut & preen like a g-damn PEACOCK!!

REMEMBER, NRA IS NOT YOUR FRIEND. THEY’VE DONE MORE HARM TO THE 2A THAN ALL THE ANTIGUN GROUPS COMBINED!!!

The NRA staff will be there with giveaways, they say. The only thing they are willing to give away is our rights. The time to “urge” public servants has past. I, a life member of the NRA, urge the staff not to shaft us by being there. You time for stealing credit and our money is passing also.

While some throw shade comments back and forth about NRA, here’s some numbers. (And, before anyone starts, from a Life Member for the past 25 years or so, member since 10 yrs old.) Also a couple comments on VA Repubs. – Bloomies reportedly spent about $2.5 Million in last VA election. LaPuPu’s salary is about $5 Million annually. So, for half of one year’s salary for one exec NRA could have funded commensurate election competition in VA. That doesn’t include the generous salaries paid to NRA board members. Oh, and PuPu just got a 57% raise. – NRA widely reported… Read more »

Yes, where were you during the elections. Your own home state. I knew joining again was a total waste of time and money and yes I’ve gotten three begging for money reup letters in three months since. I’ve wrote them three emails with no return. I called them and asked them and ILA what I-could do and they didn’t know, gave me the number to a liaison that I could never get ahold of. I told them to come on the 20th and join the fight, what do they do schedule another rally on the 16th to counter the VCDL… Read more »

Where was the NRA in New Mexico? I wish all the best for Virginia and her gun owners, but will continue to focus on my own current state of residence and the state where my children were born and where I still consider “home” (Arizona & New Mexico). God Bless the Arizona Citizens’ Defense League and the good work they continue to do to keep Arizona THE best state for gun owners. New Mexico needs a gun owner organization as effective as Arizona has, as do all the states. Taking care of your own state first is the best route… Read more »

If I had the money I’d move to Arizona, don’t worry I wouldn’t want to change a thing. Like others that move into our states.

“Waiting even one week to visit the Capitol, whether on your own or at an organized event will be too late. ”

Oh look, NRA Drone wants to step on VCDL.

Please give away Wayne. That would help.

We gun owners in WA State stand with VA gun owners. There will be a similar rally in Olympia on January 17 @ 9 a.m. Come on out, demonstrate your intent and solidarity, then go pull on your legislator’s ears while you’re at the Capital. It is the first week of the 2020 session and WA legislators have a raft of anti-gun legislation ready.

HoundDogDave

NO WORDS…..so much wrong with this, I wouldn’t even know how to start. WTF NRA?

People, Please do not show up for this. Don’t let the NRA steal credit for and undermine the hard work done by the VCDL
