VIRGINIA: Suppressor Ban Hearing Tomorrow

VIRGINIA: Suppressor Ban Hearing Tomorrow

RICHMOND, VA – Delegate Mark Levine’s House Bill 961 is on the docket to be heard at the House Public Safety Committee Hearing on Friday, February 7th at 8:00 AM. The American Suppressor Association will be on hand to testify in opposition to the bill. The hearing will take place in House Room 1 of the General Assembly Building. If passed out of committee, the House of Delegates will have until Tuesday, February 11th to pass this legislation prior to the crossover deadline.

House Bill 961 seeks to ban the sale of suppressors, standard capacity magazines, and “assault firearms” in Virginia. If enacted as currently drafted, Virginians in lawful possession of suppressors would be required to destroy them, transfer them out of state, or surrender them to state or local law enforcement by January 1st, 2021. Any civilian caught importing, selling, transferring, manufacturing, purchasing, possessing, or transporting a suppressor after that date would be charged with a Class 6 felony.

The American Suppressor Association needs your help to ensure that this bill fails!

If you live in Virginia, please join us at the committee hearing to voice your opposition to HB 961. Additionally, please use our form below to email the members of the House Public Safety Committee to let them know that you oppose any ban and confiscation of suppressors and “assault firearms”. Lastly, please call the committee members to voice your opposition on the phone. It may not seem like much, but every email and call counts!

About the American Suppressor Association

The American Suppressor Association (ASA) is the unified voice of the suppressor community. We exist for one reason and one reason only: to fight for pro-suppressor reform nationwide!

Suppressor owners everywhere are being rallied to make their voices heard by joining ASA or buying a raffle ticket during the “Cans Not Bans: Sic Semper Tinnitus” member giveaway. Proceeds support the ASA’s organized opposition to Governor Northam’s unpopular attempt to ban suppressors in the state. Anyone who does so before March 2nd will be entered to win one of 11 prizes. Already an ASA member? As long as your membership is up to date as of March 2nd, you’ll be entered as well!

Membership in the American Suppressor Association amplifies everyone’s voices and provides the necessary funding to stay engaged in this essential fight in Virginia, Washington D.C., and throughout the country. Make no mistake, this fight is about more than just Virginia. If we allow misguided policy to take hold in The Old Dominion, it will spread like wildfire. The American Suppressor Association will do everything in our power to prevent this unacceptable outcome. Visit CansNotBans.com for more details.

I felt like ranting where no one is paying attention.

Then move on to place caps on medical malpractice lawsuits. Back when those filthy scheming lawyers like John Edwards butt humped the entire medical field. Put a stop to outrageous insurance costs held by doctors and hospitals. This is a plan of theirs that has been in the making over 30 years. Leaving a pair of scissors inside a patient and idiot mistakes like that, you think that actually justifies the rest of us having to suffer. Hang the lawyers. Finally we can afford health insurance again.

Now is the time that we start putting our bill together to remove suppressors from the 1934 gun control Act. Because we’re going to win back the house and the presidency. This fall. Just because some psychopath socialist goes and shoots up a school does not effect how the law abiding should be governed. If you have fear of people not liking you or calling you names or unliking your facebook page, you are unfit to lead us.
