JPFO: NJ, CA Gun-store Closures Only a Symptom

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- The Jews For The Preservation of Firearms Ownership organization just released the following opinion piece outlining the dangers of recent political power-moves by anti-gun politicians and their ilk. While a bit over-the-top, it definitely outlines some great points, and showcases many of the reasons Americans should remain vigilant defending their rights. Check it out below.

Officials lack legitimate powers; Why isn’t public already armed?

Where is any delegated authority to deny people their gun rights?

HINT: There isn’t any. Officials are committing crimes by discriminating.
NJ has already capitulated–they know how wrong they are, and subject to repercussions

While gun-rights groups like the NRA and the Second Amendment Foundation properly attacked New Jersey and other “officials” for illegally and unconstitutionally demanding the closure of free gun and ammunition stores, the big picture is missing:

• The public should already be fully armed and trained for catastrophes

• People should have sufficient ammo and enough gun knowledge before disaster strikes

The very notion that “officials” claim the power to close free-market stores, especially constitutionally protected ones in times of great need, is abhorrent to our system of governance and economics. Officials who issue such edicts deserve to be brought up on charges. They cause harm and have usurped powers they have not been delegated, like British tyrants we rebelled against centuries ago. Their motto seems to be, “We’re back.”

JPFO stands guard against such abuse and the sleep the public has fallen into, even from our own supposed rights supporters. Yes, it’s a good thing groups like SAF are suing NJ and CA in their government-run courts. But it should not be necessary. And if those state run-and-paid-for courts side with their bureaucrats, what’s your next step? Meekly comply? Write off your fundamental rights? JPFO says: Never Again! Now that police are falling to this plague, heed our words. Join with JPFO now, for all the right reasons, and fight the good fight.

Anti-gun-rights groups have also filed briefs, which JPFO will summarize in a bulletin in the near future. Concerned that the U.S. Supreme Court will overturn New York’s draconian ban on gun rights, so-called “gun-control” groups have actually pressed city police to loosen their restrictions, to make the case moot, and keep it out of the High Court. One Pulse For America, headed by former Star Trek actor George Takei is among those seeking to scuttle the case by asking police to eliminate the need to get a carry permit to take a household firearm out of the city, a ploy that failed. Jim, JPFO isn’t being “over the top”; they’re being brutally honest. Americans have become so accustomed to weasel words and ‘measured responses’ coming from the NRA sewer, it’s almost as if everyone’s balls dropped off. Kudos to JPFO for nailing it!! Every state needs an ACTIVE civil defense corps. In old times it was called THE MILITIA. Stop wringing your hands over commietards’ bashing the word “militia”; embrace it, be proud of it, make it synonymous with A FORCE FOR GOOD. If more citizens would be prepared for emergencies of all kinds, train with others for those emergencies, and turn… Read more »

@wjd Flatt
Your comments about JPFO are Correct, and if any group of people understands the need for a maintained armed defense against a tyrannical government it is the Jewish people.

Will Flatt

Glad to see we can agree on this! I was just about to share some knowledge with Finnky about this very subject, to bridge his information gap.

TheRevelator

@wjd Flatt
If you say something correct, I’m going to back you up on it regardless of anything previously… I wasn’t lying when I said that.

What you said both in this comment, and the comment to @wjd concerning JPFO were right, and you did a good job on how you presented it. You deserved credit for doing so. Simple as that.

TheRevelator

@wjd Flatt
By the way, do you remember some of the old pamphlets JPFO used to put out during the 1990’s?

I used to have quite a few. They were used as educational materials for younger folk, printed on heavy paper stock with colored ink.

Will Flatt

@Rev – Yes, I was a supporter of JPFO in the early days, and I still am. I remember the early materials, and somewhere deep in my personal library I may still have a 1st-print-run of “Lethal Laws”.

Here’s my favorite JPFO graphic, which I occasionally bring out for Jew-hating internet slimeballs:

TheRevelator

@wjd Flatt
I had some, along with similar items from the GOA at a time when the NRA was actively betraying us, before much of the membership started waking up.

Sadly, I think they got misplaced during one of several of our family’s moves due to the government moving my Father around. I wish I still had the box full of them today. I’d have loved to pass them on to any kids I may have one day.

TheRevelator

@wjd
It wasn’t correct because I said so, it was correct because the information Will Flatt based it off was correct.

He made his argument based on actual actions JPFO has taken.. If you don’t understand how that works, there’s little hope for you.

Will Flatt

@Rev, let it go. This is why the dude doesn’t like you. You don’t need to behave like you’re oh-so-smarter than the people you argue with, or morally superior, or for that matter, need to get in the last word. Or do you?

Be Like Elsa – Just. Let. It. Go.

TheRevelator

@wjd Flatt
Don’t need the last word, but I do respond when pressed. If @wjd didn’t want me posting to him, he wouldn’t have thrown that up there. It was his decision even if it was a poor one.

What I do isn’t special or superior. @wjd would be able to do it if he learned to argue facts instead of opinions. His last response however is pretty clear proof that he has chosen not to though.

The Revelator: I would differ with your assessment of the “Jewish people” in as much as they are far from being a monolithic block and many do not like power, read that as firearms, in the hands of those that they cannot control. And the trouble is that those Jews that think as we do about firearms and things associated do not, in large part, vocalize their views to the public at large or other Jews. I don’t see that changing, ever. So, one must deal with it or at least counteract it as best as one can. Speaking the… Read more »

TheRevelator

@RoyD Correct.. They are not a monolithic block. But the description of some wanting control over others, that is a human trait… Not a jewish one.. What my comment was covering is the history of the Jewish people, the numerous genocides and pogroms they have been subject to, in part do to their religious beliefs putting them in a subjugated mindset. That was part of what Will Flatt was pointing out. “Speaking the truth to everyone when the subject of guns comes up seems the best way.” Indeed. So with that in mind, we should avoid generalizing groups, and specifying… Read more »

tell them to go back and read in THEIR book how things went down when the king of the country where they’d been in exile for many years gave some of them permission to return to Jerusalem, which that country’s army had destroyed when taking them captive, and rebuild the walls and restore the city so they could move back. There was thus freak named Sanballat who decided he did not like that idea, and took action to thwart the Poeple of Israel who were actively rebuilding the City. Tell them to pay particular attention to their leader, that is,… Read more »

you said: “While a bit over-the-top” Not at all over the top. This is spot on. The very INTENT of that pesky Second Article of Ammendment is that the common people, armd, skilled, trained, capable, coordinated, would be THE bulwark of “the security of a free state”. Don’t forget.. the Jewish people have come through some times very similar to our war to kick out the tyrants about 225 years ago. In the AAR (after action report) once LaFayette loaded his troops up and shoved off for Merrie Auld England for the (almost) last time, the Patrios understood what it… Read more »

Behind The Lines in N.J.

How do you spell “D-U-M-B”? [IMHO] try the DEMOCRAT members of the NJ Legislature who AGGRESSIVELY sponsor and support “gun control” and are of the Jewish faith. And in case you’re thinking about bringing up the Nazi experience, DON’T; it REALLY pisses their DUMB asses off.

jwinwa

Lot of us Jews who are vocally on the front lines of the 2A battle and even more of us who are silently arming up and training our friends and family. Despite what the press would have you believe, its a rather significant error to assume that Jews can be unanimous… about anything.

Finnky

@jwinwa – So you are saying Jews are just people? Even within a single family, unanimous decisions are the exception rather than the norm. Expecting unanimous decisions from any large diverse group would be foolish. Got to admire the Israeli method though – Arabs seem to have learned a lesson the last time they called the Israeli “bluff”.

Time heals wounds and enemies of my enemies being friends is now turning muslim-Arabs and Israel into allies against Iran.

Finnky

JPFO is one of the better civil rights organizations. Been meaning to join, even though I’m not Jewish. Given history, I am amazed that any Jews agree with gun control, yet it seems many do. This organization is a great counter example, and works to reach out to and educate that community. I believe many Jews support gun control because they don’t see it as applying to them – because they don’t understand that the second applies to them. OTOH – When Trump joked about remaining in office forever, I halfway expected leftists to change their stance on the second… Read more »

Finnky: It is apparent that your lack of knowledge of Jewish history is staggering.

Finnky

@RoyD – I understand that people view their experiences through a lens formed from older history – but was simply referring to recent Jewish history, as in WWII. May have been a rather brief period of history, but would think it was traumatic enough to radically shape world views of all survivors. JPFO’s website does provide good discussion of assorted justifications for jewish hoplophobia – but does not mean I can identify enough to really understand their viewpoint.

Will Flatt

@wjd – JPFO is a really small 2A group. They suffered through a very long dark period, almost ceasing to exist, after Aaron Zelman had unexpectedly passed away years ago. It is only through the labor of love of a handful of dedicated activists that they continue to exist and function. Contrary to some misconceptions, this is an organization that does not require you to be Jewish in order to join. If that stumbling block can be eliminated, they will grow. The best way that this can happen is for every hardcore 2A activist out there would just take a… Read more »

Will Flatt

@Finnky – Jewish history is a bit complicated, but the short version is, they believed they were supposed to trust their host nations’ governments and they failed to distrust the leaders of those governments. Unlike us Americans, who were born to distrust the government out of a sense of liberty preservation. Here’s a good article that helps to demystify the Jewish relationship with firearms: https://jpfo.org/filegen-a-m/fear.htm Jews have historically not had a gun problem, they’ve had a leftist thinking problem – including a penchant for ‘victimhood culture’, the same thing we see the professional Left peddling to minorities in America today!… Read more »

Will Flatt: The article you posted a link to was an interesting read if for nothing else than the pathetic way it depicted the history of the Jews in the AD era. A story that leaves out much of the truth is almost the same as one made up entirely of lies.

Will Flatt

It came from the JPFO website itself. I suppose this is where you spew some Jew-hate like a few others on Ammoland have done; if this is you then quit while you’re ahead.

If you’re one of these jew-haters, I have an instruction manual JUST FOR YOUR KIND:

RoyD

WF: Unlike you, and in this instance the article referenced, I don’t hide the truth because it doesn’t fit my narrative. My comment stands whether you like it or not.

Will Flatt

You say you don’t hide truth, well I’m not hiding anything either. Strawman rejected. The fact you’re claiming “a narrative” without saying what it is, gives me a pretty good idea what it is. You can fornicate yourself and the horse you rode in on, sir, and all your nazi buddies too. That article was never supposed to be an exhaustive history of the Jewish people after the fall of Jerusalem, and your demand that an article be just that …is pure horse manure. The fact that you would backhandedly attack JPFO by attacking their website content tells me what… Read more »

It seems that you are the “follower” here. But hey, everyone should aspire to be something.

…Says the nazi SOB that hates Jews and attacks JPFO.

I would tell you to go to hell, but I dont need to, I know you’ll get there inevitably!

RoyD

At least when you “attack” me I know that I am in good company. Sorry, sonny, you wouldn’t make a pimple on the ass of people who have come against me in my life; but, if it makes you feel better keep it up, Buttercup.

Will Flatt

Yeah, keep siding with the nazis and the holocaust. Your cause is already in the dustbin of history!

RoyD

I could never understand why someone would fold their thumb across their fingers when flipping someone the bird. Perhaps you can explain it to me. You know, be of some use tonight for Pete’s sake.

Finnky

@RoyD – If as you state the JPFO article is sorely lacking on that period, can you provide better information on that era – if only through links sources providing a more accurate historic accounting?

RoyD

That is a minor league try. Sorry your education was provided by a less than standard system. Of course that could have been mitigated by a healthy curiosity and the will to satiate it. I have pointed you in the right direction, the rest is up to you.

Terry

@WF;
You nailed that 100%. Trump is the best we’ve ever had. I don’t agree with everything he’s done, but the good far outweighs the bad.

Finnky

@WF – My comment about Trump’s statements about remaining article are predicated upon the left’s response – having nothing to do with Trump’s actual intent. Many I spoke with were truly terrified of what they saw as trump’s tyrannical aspirations and likelihood of him forming a dynasty. In an effort to inspire thought and self reflections, and partly simply to tweek their noses, I pointed out to many that this is the purpose of the 2nd – and asked whether they were arming up and seeking training. Universal response was abject confusion, followed by offense that I would suggest that… Read more »
