Gun Control Ranks Low on Voters’ Wish List for Biden, Congress

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- With record gun sales this year, it should be no surprise that when asked about their priorities for Biden’s first 100 days as president, voters ranked gun control at the bottom. On a list of 25 potential policy changes, “legislation to restrict gun ownership” is near the lowest quintile, ranked #20. As President-elect Joe Biden is no doubt under heavy pressure from the well-funded gun control groups, it is important for him to understand the role of firearm freedoms in the United States

The top priorities are also not surprising. Controlling COVID-19 spread (69 percent of voters), vaccine distribution plans (67 percent) and COVID-19 relief legislation (66 percent) swept the top three spots. But with gun control picked as a priority by less than a quarter of voters (23 percent), other priorities also topped this misguided direction. Everything from health care reform legislation (43 percent) to climate change (33 percent) to immigration policies (27 percent) ranked above the irrational restrictions on the Constitutional rights to keep and bear arms.

The survey also asked about voters who they trust more to handle gun policy in Congress. Out of the 1,992 registered voters, the answer was split roughly in half, right down party lines.

The low ranking of gun control extends beyond what voters want to see in a Biden administration’s first 100 days. When asked how important of a priority various policies should be for Congress, voters expressed that other policy areas such as addressing COVID, stimulus, climate change, and protecting “Dreamers,” or young people who were brought to the U.S. illegally as children, from deportation.

This isn’t surprising. With a record-shattering 19.1 million background checks conducted for the sale of a firearm so far this year, Americans are taking ownership of their gun rights. Layering on gun control laws isn’t what voters are looking for.

Bidens first 100 days will be spent trying to get the American people to their knees bowing down to the chinese communists and soros appointees he has been appointing to his cabinet.

Biden’s first 100 days will be spent trying to get the American people to their knees bowing down to LEOs, many of whom are military veterans.

Vern,

How do you think Biden will try to “get American people to their knees bowing down to the Chinese communists and Soros appointees?”

Do you believe LEOs won’t enforce the new laws? If so who will enforce the new laws?

Do you not believe approximately 20% of LEOs are military veterans?

I find it mind boggling that people think the guys who are literally called law enforcement officers won’t be enforcing new laws. They seem to forget that those traitors already enforce every other arms law on the books. Infringement starts WAY before confiscation.

Here’s something I like to present to them….

If Biden/Harris enact gun control laws then law enforcement officers will be the ones enforcing those laws.

If you believe law enforcement officers won’t enforce the laws Biden/Harris enact then why are you worried about them enacting those laws?

That has been exactly my point and I realize you have been saying the same thing.

There are a lot of elderly military veterans who fought honorably to defeat communism. They struggle with accepting the fact that people with strong communist tendencies are making laws that will be enforced by military veterans.

Many of these same people believe that if Democrats are bad, Republicans must be good. No matter how many times the video and transcripts are posted, they won’t believe that Trump wanted more gun control.

Yeah, it amazes me how people are so worked up over what Biden SAYS he wants to do while ignoring or even condoning what Trump has actually done. At least with a Democrat in office Republicans will be forced to pretend they care about the 2A again and hopefully block any new legislation. People seem to forget we had 2 years of complete Democrat control under Obama/Biden and no new arms laws were enacted.

I understand your point, but I’m sure you read Biden’s plans on his campaign website. There is much more support for the Democrat/Socialist/Communist plan than in the past.

There is no doubt in my mind that the Democrats will go full speed ahead this time.

Like magic, the Republicans who did nothing in 2017 and 2018 will screaming “the Democrats want to take away your rights, vote for me.”

Much more effective to order the Administrative State to change regulations. Trump provided the path with his Presidential Memorandum. Biden’s advisors are smart.
