I don’t care who made this ammo, I will not purchase at these exhorbitant prices. Bring your prices down by refusing to purchase from vendors that price gouge. Tell them to stuff it. That goes for reloading supplies too.

Will – 2/24/21:

“Phil,I really do think there’s something a lot more sinister involved in this current ammo price gouging. It don’t have shit to do with supply and demand either!”

Response to Will:

There we go.

Do you want to discuss it, or will you be offended by data, logic, and the way the marketplace works?

Choogie

Yeah THE MARKET. if you need it buy it. If you don’t leave it until the prices come down. I hope you’re stocked up and didn’t shoot up all your stock when it wasn’t available. If you did that, I feel for you. I don’t like being GOUGED and I won’t buy it. They do it because they can.

JSNMGC

Choogie,
Do you think the government should do something “so they can’t?”

RoyD

Really? They don’t show any in stock now. Not to worry, I have bought several thousand of 9mm bullets from this company in the last six months and can highly recommend them and they have bullets in stock: hoosierbullets.com

Good ammo, last time if bought ZVS ammo from Sportmans Guide, I paid about 16 cents a round, about 4 years ago. Then they started canceling orders and they offering the same product for 50% more. F them, never again.

Choogie

Yep exactly! and Sooner or later they will be overstocked and prices will come down.

It’s going to be some time. Vista Outdoor was fairly clear they are not making any significant investments in capacity and they have already hired many hundreds of people to put their previously available capacity into production. It sounded like that process was completed last year.

Increased output from them over the next three quarters is going to primarily come from ramping up the output from the existing Remington capacity that was underutilized for some time due to their internal issues.

Oh great, another gouger of a deal!
