The worst part of these sales/mergers is the loss of industrial manufacturing capabilities to countries which cannot be relied upon to support American interests. For example, I feel it is almost, no actually, criminal for the US military to purchase firearms from overseas companies. It is similar to the US not being able to produce our own vaccines because so much of the supply line is dependent on other countries. Think about how much sense it makes to need to purchase a weapon from your neighbor if the reason you need it is to make war on him. Good luck… Read more »

Colt WAS a supplier to the military but lost out to FN due to Colt’s crappy quality control. One hopes that CZ will restore quality and affordability to Colt that has long since disappeared from the Colt factory. However, let us hope that it doesn’t go the other way, like adding clear water to muddy water in an effort to improve it, the result is the downgrading of the good, not the improving of the bad.

Colt only lost out to FN because their high union labor cost and the resulting per unit pricing.
come on, tell us what else you dont know. lol.

Fair weather friends…….who needs them?

Make no mistake: NONE of these companies are your friends; you are simply a consumer for their products.

Colt seemed to have withered a bit in recent years. Try, for example, to name an innovative new product from Colt. The new Python is a resurrection. This acquisition should bring new blood into Colt.

Sad when former Iron Curtain controlled nations buy up mfgs. with almost 2 Century Legacy in the USA. As we now see daily out of Democrat controlled states and the totally corrupt nest of Democrat subversives in DC. our freedoms are under attack and our industrial base for war time production is considered dirty and unwanted by the same subversives mentioned above.
Pray for the USA to drive the Marxists that seized power by stealing an election are driven from power by an honest election.
