Leupold Freedom scopes have optics that are quite frankly junk. They discontinued the old VXII scopes and are replacing them with the Freedom. the VXII were fine entry level scopes with good glass. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for the replacement.

Why always 3-9X instead of 3-10X? Is there some manufacturing reason they can’t add that extra 1 to the magnification?
It forces me to spend more for a 3-12X, 4-12X or 4-16X scope as I prefer 10X for 100 yards or more.
