Love Freedom: Let Us Keep America Great… iStock-SolidMaks

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- Many American citizens have lost confidence in the ability of our government to “establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare,” and to leave as much Freedom as possible to the citizens.

Because much visible chaos has been caused by the present Brandon leadership, gun owners will soon ride a red wave back towards the original Constitution that we love, and we will have some time to repair the damage done by the homegrown socialist enemies.

However, if history is any indication, voters easily forgive the abuses of government and switch parties frequently. For example, Democrat President Jimmy Carter was followed by 12 years of Republican Presidents, before the country went Democrat again. And farther back in history, Republican President Herbert Hoover, who took office just as the great depression began, was followed by 20 years of Democrat Presidents before a Republican President was elected.

Today, because even democrats recognize that the national and societal damage that has been done is too great, we can safely guess that we will have approximately two decades of political dominance to repair the damage.

But the Constitution did not suffer a casual attack. Our enemies knew exactly how to attack American freedoms and traditions.

Over decades, they failed to teach the greatness of America, while teaching hatred instead.

So before we gun owners can sit back and celebrate the coming easy wins in ’22, ’24, and perhaps beyond, we should figure out what went wrong, fast, and we had better have a plan to fix it.
We need to fix more than just the little stuff, more than just the election laws that make it easy to cheat and steal #fix2020. We need to fix more than just the school board’s control of classroom misfunction and failure. We need to fix more than the evil, pernicious little devils in the details that slowly steal citizen sovereignty.

We need to eliminate the ignorance of the American electorate, who are easily manipulated, because if we fail, that ignorance will remain, fester and erupt again.

We need to find the virtue in ourselves and the populace that encourages honest political behavior and automatically builds understanding, and practical and desirable political habits. We must give up the unwarranted assumption that someone else is doing a good job governing us if we desire to keep America free.

Where did the undercurrent of socialist hatred of America come from? Why didn’t average folks have sufficient background knowledge of civics and history to be able to recognize and resist the massive lies of the communist left?

Perhaps, teaching the history of Freedom via Civics classes, and showing the benefits of a free nation, we can begin to turn those around who are so ready to give Freedom up and accept the lying words of the thieves who seek only power.

It is up to us American gun owners to help replace what the general public has lost. We can help do it because we retain the valuable knowledge that many have intentionally ignored for far too long. We have a good network of clubs, ranges, churches, etc. to invite the young and ignorant and to teach them what our socialist education system has purposely left out. We must get fully engaged in the local political and educational systems, so that the Leftist/Communist One World Government agendas can be thwarted, forever.

The Founders’ goal was to create a new nation of ARMED, INFORMED, VIRTUOUS citizens who would remain committed to the idea of freedom for all, while giving the government just enough power to overcome any conceivable emergency or threat.

Our Founders created a stable political environment where common people can govern themselves and retain maximum Freedoms while ceding the smallest amount possible of sovereignty to a central government. Hamilton, in Federalist 84 firmly stated, “The people surrender nothing.” And Madison affirmed in Federalist 45, “The ultimate authority…lies in the people alone.” The

Founding Fathers figured out how to safely loan out our sovereignty when needed, and get it back as we wished.

To this end, our Founders, as stated by many, including Frederick Douglass and Larry McDonald, gave us four tools to maintain our sovereignty, the Soap Box, the Ballot Box, the Jury Box, and the Ammo Box, hopefully, to be used in that order. We have used the Soap Box, toyed with the Jury Box, abused the Ballot Box, and we are prepared yet quite not ready for the Ammo Box.

  • The Soap Box: Sadly, our elected Representatives have stopped listening to us.
  • The Ballot Box: Sadly, election workers have betrayed us.
  • The Jury Box: Sadly, Judges have misguided us.
  • The Ammo Box: Sadly, our Representatives have stymied us.

The Founders also packed the Constitution with other safeguards. Warning! These safeguards will fail without a freedom-loving, knowledgeable, and virtuous populace. Sadly, many of us sat back on our sofas after work, contented, and let the socialists handle the details. And they did. They took control of the education system, the news facilities, the voting systems, Congress, the three-letter agencies, the DOJ, and more. We literally gave it to them.

Our work ahead is tedious. We must, with our conservative brethren, reclaim our country. And that means getting off our arses and engaging all the problem areas. We must question everything. Run for office, including Dog Catcher, School Boards, etc. Politics starts at the local and state level.

If we do nothing about these very basic causes of our political problems, remaining satisfied with a few years of quiet respite, we will still be left with the created hatred and division, with a large minority of angry socialists, ready to repeat their immoral deeds.

It’s up to you, it’s up to all of us. It’s our job, it’s our virtue. If we do not accept the challenge, history promises to repeat itself.

Thank you for the correction.

After Hoover, yes, there were 20 years of Democrat hegemony, but it was Eisenhower, not Reagan, who broke the streak.

Thank you for the correct.

The great Reagan wasn’t the first Republican to follow Hoover. Eisenhower and Nixon preceded him.

“and we’re are prepared yet quite not ready for the Ammo Box” should read “and we’re not yet ready for the Ammo Box“.

Wild Bill

That is OK, we knew what you meant. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Rifle?

AJChwick

Thank you, and a Merry Merry Christmas, Happy Happy New Rifle to you too.

Almost had me, right up to the last paranoic paragraph.

That 800 pound gorilla. You writers can’t avoid it forever – people are catching on:

Fortunately, they didn’t give the idiot any lip or he would have F–king shot them.

TStheDeplorable continues to defend not-so-qualified immunity.

Amercians are begging for it.

Who will be saying “Bingham County Sheriff Craig Rowland was found not guilty by a jury of 12 people and he deserves his job and pension”? Hint:

“Mesa Police Officer Philip Brailsford was found not guilty of killing SHAVER by a jury of 12 people and he deserves his job and pension.”

This site has been invaluable in understanding that subset of enforcers and other government employees and ex-government employees who represent themselves as pro 2nd Amendment but: Lie; Use hypocritical tactics to influence opinion; Cheat (via numerous accounts) to influence opinion; Support enforcing any and all gun control laws; and Default to their previous position in a government hierarchy as some kind of validation of their view. I don’t really think they understand they are making LEOs look worse. We don’t want some low IQ, emotionally challenged, short-tempered thug making decisions on who should live and die. If you have to… Read more »

I don’t know him, but I envisioned Brian just sitting back and laughing at people accusing others of lying, using profanity, and name-calling, while they lie, use profane language, and call people names.

It’s humorous.

Cruiser

So who is the idiot, the idiot Sheriff, or the people that elected him?
Voters need to do their home work before they vote. If more people did this we wouldn’t have the government we now have.

Russn8r

Both

JSNMGC

Cruiser,

What would be your estimate of the percentage of people in LE that are like you. That is, when someone gives them an example of an idiot sheriff acting like a maniac, their first response is “who is the idiot, the idiot Sheriff, or the people who elected him?”

I’m not asking for an exact, audited number of course, just your estimate based on your long experience in law enforcement.

Russn8r

That’s one thing mask mandates are good for.

Eeek.
