Indiana County Considers Repealing Discharge Ordinance

U.S.A. -( On January 11th, the County Council of Lake County will hold a vote on whether to repeal a restriction in the county’s firearm discharge ordinance. Back in 2019, Lake County increased the 200-foot minimum distance from residences for target shooting to 300 feet. NRA members and Second Amendment supporters are encouraged to attend this meeting.

How about some back story on the change? Why did it change originally? What is the catalyst for the change now? Sloppy writing if you ask me.

Is/was this intended as noise or bullet safe zone?
Does it apply to the resident or only against any nearby shooter?
Can a home owner/resident shoot from their own back porch?

Won’t your condo neighbors be a bit ticked? I’d love to be able to shoot anything in my yard but…residing in a Communist state it’s almost impossible. I’m resigned to being a bad boy with my pellet rifle, IF I had a pellet rifle that is, really I’d need one.
