Before Tuesday, take a moment to reach out to your elected representatives in the legislature and to Governor Noem and let them know – financial industry discrimination against 2nd Amendment companies is real, and, South Dakota should push back.
Please respectfully contact your elected representatives here: and Governor Kristi Noem here.
Following the committee hearing, on the 15th, join NSSF, our partners, and the general public in the Capitol Rotunda for hunting and shooting sports and 2 Amendment day at the Capitol. From 9:00 am to 2:00 pm industry members like HS Precision, Stag Arms, Magpul, ONeill Ops, and Silencer Central (along with partners like the Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation) will host displays, activities and have giveaways in the Capitol Rotunda.
Senate Bill 182, “An Act to prohibit discriminatory actions against persons engaged in the firearms industry” – the South Dakota Firearm Industry Nondiscrimination (FIND) Act, asks that the State only contract with those financial service providers who commit to fairness in banking.
Please share this alert with your employees, your colleagues in the industry, and your social network. Please ask them to do the same.
Big Banks are spending unprecedented money to lobby against our fairness in financial service bills nationally. South Dakota is no exception. Our success depends on elected leaders hearing your voice. Reach out.
Please respectfully contact your elected representatives and Governor Kristi Noem at the links above:
For years, NSSF® members engaged in the lawful commerce of firearm and ammunition have experienced discrimination by financial institutions simply because of the type of business they are in. In these cases, the refusal to provide goods and services results in higher costs of doing business and increased prices for consumers who are simply exercising their Second Amendment Rights. Our members have faced discrimination from banks, internet search engines, payment processors, social media companies, insurance companies, and others.
While the firearm industry respects the right of financial institutions and other service providers to make business decisions based on objective criteria, it is unacceptable to discriminate against businesses simply because they are engaged in the lawful commerce of firearms and ammunition, a heavily regulated activity protected by the Second Amendment.

Right on. Another reason for me to choose South Dakota to move to. I hope if Obiden is successful in changing the law to make all AR15’s be illegal or require them to be serialized if they are home made that South Dakota will say that if the firearm is not serialized when we inspect it, we don’t care so long as the gun was not involved in a crime and that they will never be illegal in that state and if obiden declares that all CCW’s are no longer valid, South Dakota will give him the big middle finger.… Read more »
South Dakota law enforcement is just as bad as WY law enorcement. That being said, I still think South Dakota is a good choice for you. “During a hearing yesterday in the South Dakota House Judiciary Committee, Moms Demand Action volunteers joined law enforcement officials and public safety advocates in providing testimony against HB 1052, a dangerous bill that would make it illegal in South Dakota for any public officer or employee of the state, including state and local law enforcement officers, to assist with the enforcement of federal gun safety laws, and penalize those who attempt to enforce them.… Read more »
and penalize those that attempt to enforce them?? I am starting to think that you want me to move to South Dakota because you really don’t want me to move to Wyoming, LOl. I would be a feather in your cap for support against any and all anti-gun laws and I do speak out, so much so that people don’t like me because I do not hesitate to speak the opposing opinion. I don’t clam up when there are demonrats around and RINO’s nodding yes or people that try and remain in the shadows, if anything I speak more and… Read more »
Sorry, I see now that was a copy and paste and not your writing. Man, these news people today really don’t know how to write.
The point I was making was that South Dakota law enforcement did the very same thing WY law enforcement did – they joined Moms Demand Action to lobby against a SAPA law that would have helped do what you stated in your original post.
My agenda is to work with others to prevent totalitarianism – gun control is just one part of the totalitarian agenda.
If you have a chance, please respond to the questions in the comments to the other article.
after your next question, my answer is, because I said so, LOL. Used to piss me off so bad when my dad said that. LOL
South Dakota is nice.
Ya and so is Kommiefornia, Washington and OreGONE its the politics that’s not nice I was looking at a piece of property in Idaho yesterday and I liked it because it said the sheriff cruised through three times a week, population 43 and 100 miles from Boise which is another place being taken over by kommiefornia demonrats. My wife looked up the temps and said if we are going to freeze are ass off, we might as well be in a state that didn’t make you mask up and supports freedom of choice meaning the shot, not babies. So, back… Read more »
almost all leos are power hungry, the people they choose for the job are the wrong type. most are no more than thugs, and stupid too, I had to call local chief of police to explain to his officers that there is no law anywhere in the us that requires carrying of id . except under certain circumstances, drivers license, pilot license and a few others, they were arguing with their boss that that is not correct . they could not understand that that RIGHT is in the constitution and the times you have to have it are the exceptions
