USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- One way the anti-gun crowd plans on removing firearms from America is by changing the culture in a way that makes new generations either despise guns, fear them, or both.

With all the talk about taxing ammunition, suing gun manufacturers out of business, and generally making it harder for parents to take their kids to the range, we can see the Fascists’ desperate attempts to go against all that is American as they slowly try to corrupt the most vulnerable among us. Our children.

In many families, gun ownership is a tradition. Parents teach their kids and help them develop a healthy respect and appreciation for firearms and the kids grow up to share the same values with their children. So, it’s no surprise that the political left will do everything they can to thwart those efforts and demonize one of the most patriotic American traditions in their attempt to create a future of non-gun-owners.

There was a time when firearms safety and marksmanship classes were taught in schools across the Country. It was a way for students to become familiar with America’s favorite pastime in a healthy way. The anti-gun left has done everything they can to demonize those types of classes and convince people that less firearm knowledge will make society safer, which is why we hardly hear of them anymore. But there is a school in Hot Springs County Wyoming that is defying all anti-gun efforts by introducing a basic marksmanship class in their school for fifth and sixth graders.

Hot Springs County Wyoming Basic Marksmanship Class

Mr. Deromedi’s fifth and sixth grade PE class which was converted to a 3-week air-rifle course is supported by Superintendent Dustin Hunt and Board Chairman Sherman Skelton.

The school told McClatchy News, “one of the many beauties of public education is that locally elected school boards help shape curriculum to match community norms and needs.”

“In Wyoming, the vast majority of households have firearms. It is important for students to safely learn about and respect things they will encounter in their everyday lives.”

The marksmanship classes in which the students use air rifles are not required but to date, no students have requested an alternate unit or assignment. According to the Idaho Statesman, every student passed their safety test. It would seem that the marksmanship class in this Wyoming school is a great success and the children are very happy to participate. But of course, the anti-gun crybaby crowd is doing everything they can to shut it down. The school removed posts on Facebook and YouTube that showed the students aiming air rifles at targets propped up against bleachers in the school gym because there were complaints that some people found it “offensive.”

It’s clear that not only does the liberal anti-gun crowd want to stop fun; they desperately want American Citizens to be unarmed, helpless, and dependent on government for their safety. The crowd that’s against American tradition, are the same people who support the release of violent criminals from prison.

Of the nearly 6,000 initial responses, the vast majority were in support of the district, saying things like:

“This is what America needs more of. Education and responsible firearm ownership.”
“This is so awesome! Probably one of the safest schools in the country too.”
“I need to find a school like this for my son once he’s old enough!”
“CA masks their kids, Wyoming teaches marksmanship,”

But of course, there were a few angry, fearful anti-gun types who couldn’t resist getting involved.

“America is a dystopian hellhole.”
“Do they go straight from their gun marksmanship training to their active shooter drills?”

So, while the anti-American political-left works hard to transform our children into fearful, angry, helpless communists; real Americans are fighting back to preserve American tradition and freedom. Way to go Hot Springs County School District #1!

The 2nd Amendment is not a privilege. It’s your right.

Thank you Hot Springs County School District #1. All schools in the USA should follow this example.

Cruiser

People fear what they don’t understand. This program is a step in the right direction to take away that fear. Take a lesson from the Swiss. Arm up and stay free.

Tank

Thai is a good positive thing for our future generations to benefit from. More of this, less sissy’s.

Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve.

The junior high I went to in Greeley, Colorado 1969 {Heath junior high}. had an outdoors education class. We learned and did archery, skiing, camping, fishing. and weapons safety and use. Had hunter safety course NRA course. Shooting skeet on the ball field in town with Remington 20-gauge shotguns, we brought our own .22 rifles to school then went on field trip to the prairie for target practice. One other part of this was we made our bows arrows and skies in wood shop. tied flies for fishing. Made fishing rods from blanks. Basically, learned every outdoors / woodcraft skill.… Read more »

Once again Wyoming residents show themselves to be pro-freedom. Why would any U.S. firearms manufacturer NOT be located in Wyoming?

I spent a decade working in WY and love the state. But even being from MT I had a few wake up moments during my winters in WY. In most areas the winter winds are nothing short of brutal. Every winter I had 3 feet of snow in my yard in NW WY. Albeit it was incredible light dry snow that was glorious to ski. Solid winter from November through April.

Sounds like a real good idea. Imagine how safe schools would be. 100 or more armed guards. lol

ones that care about their friends and teachers, they would win even with pencils and rubber bands…need to add archery

The only thing I object to is that they’re not outside using real firearms.

Great article, taking into account the situation in the world it is necessary to develop in children even minimal defense skills. Considering the changes brought about by the coronavirus pandemic we can safely say that the current educational system is outdated and ineffective. I have been advising my students to use the free essay samples service (more info) to prepare their homework so that they can do their homework based on their knowledge but using a ready-made example and thus save time without compromising their knowledge. I think that this method is much more reasonable in today’s reality and students… Read more »

I graduated out of hschs, that is to say hot springs county High School way back in 1975. Unfortunately the year before I transferred in they had stopped the 22 long rifle Sharp Shooting class, which is one of the reasons I was glad to be going at hschs. On the bright side, everybody brought knives in their pockets to school, and those who had a license to drive usually had a shotgun, a rifle, and or fishing pole in their trucks! It’s the way American Life used to be, but for the socialist woke Democrats took over, and the… Read more »
