Delaware: Committee Hearing Gun Ban on Wednesday

Delaware is considering multiple anti-gun bills this Wednesday. IMG NRA-ILA

U.S.A. -( On Wednesday, at 11:00 am, the House Administration Committee will hear House Bill 450, to ban many commonly-owned firearms, and House Bill 451, to deprive young adults of their Second Amendment rights. If you wish to view or participate in the hearing, which will be available in person or by video conference, you may find information herePlease contact committee members and ask them to OPPOSE House Bills 450 and 451.

House Bill 450 imposes a Maryland-style ban on many commonly-owned rifles, shotguns, and handguns that law-abiding citizens use for self-defense and sport. Citizens who own such firearms prior to the ban may continue to possess them, but the burden is on them to prove that they owned them prior. The state will provide the option for owners to apply for certification that banned firearms were owned prior. Banned firearms may only be transferred to direct family members or bequeathed to heirs. They also may only be possessed at, or transported to and from, certain locations, such the owner’s residence, shooting ranges, private property with the property owner’s permission, or licensed firearm dealers.

House Bill 451 discriminates against adults aged 18-20 by prohibiting them from purchasing, owning, possessing, or controlling any firearm or ammunition other than shotguns and shotgun ammunition unless they have a Concealed Deadly Weapon Permit. This violates the Second Amendment rights of those who are legally adults and are deemed old enough to vote, serve on a jury, enter into binding contracts, get married, and enlist in the military, unless they first pay fees to the government and go through red tape to get their rights back.

Again, please contact committee members and ask them to OPPOSE House Bills 450 and 451.

Wild Bill

How is it that Delaware thinks that it has the power to impact interstate commerce when control of interstate commerce is the exclusive authority of the US Congress? Is anyone following the Constitution anymore?

They haven’t for a long, long time. A lot of people (Bill, Hillary, Biden – add your favorites here) would have their sorry traitorous butts in jail – or, preferably – in the ground (my personal preference) if they were.

Come on, Man. Following the Constitution is so yesteryear……

So you have to prove that you purchased it or where in possession before the enactment date of the new law. If law enforcement can dig up your transaction records to show that you purchased something when they want to prove possession for a conviction, then why do we have to provide the documentation for them. In addition, we are required to hold our tax documents for three years and then we can destroy them so why should we have to hold a receipt of transaction for longer than that. In addition why should we have to try and produce… Read more »

Everybody is guilty – until they prove themselves innocent.

Why not list all the democratic states that will follow party lines once and done. Bidens administration is making it up as they go along what is worse we hear nothing from republicans and their party’s actions to counter the democrats. Let’s place the blame existing laws have proven not to work. Criminels do register their weapons or care about background checks. The evil now is the stupidity of the democratic party’s stance on crime. The democrats catch and release of criminals open borders their lying politicians and false narratives are now more dangerous then any gun will ever be.… Read more »

Not Florida or the Carolinas

Ok, I don’t know about the Carolinas obviously so that is good information to have but you can’t count Florida because it is on a peninsula and it has two coasts, lol. Glad to hear there are at least two states that have it together on the coasts.
