There has always been 209 primers here on the shelves . Its large rifle and large pistol primers that are non existent.

Ronnie

RIDDLE ME THIS = If SHOT-SHELL PRIMERS-Cost MORE TO MFG.! WHY ARE THEY “CHEAPER” than All OTHER TYPES OF PRIMERS? = Imo > RIP=OFF!

Norm

Last time I bought shotgun primers (Nov 1922), it was $175 per thousand. The FFL only had 5k in stock and had no idea when more would be coming.

Norm

Sorry, 2022. Even I’m not that old.

Finnky

While shot-shell primers are larger, what make you think they cost more to manufacture? Material cost is but a small part of overall cost. Quite often larger items are easier to manufacture and have looser tolerances. I imagine that is the case with primers. I imagine that hazmat, transportation and sales are actually the larger cost drivers, above and beyond materials and manufacture.

PS: No need to shout, it detracts from your credibility.

Ronnie

IF SHOTGUN PRIMERS ARE LARGER, USE MORE PRIMER AND TAKE LONGER TO MFG. WHY ARE PISTOL PRIMERS MORE EXPENSIVE? EASIER TO MFG?? YOUR STILL PRICE GOUGING YOUR OWN CUSTOMERS!! I FOR ONE AM NEVER BUYING ANYTHING FROM YOU AGAIN!

Winchester1873

If you purchase these, you will be charged $120.36.

Ronnie

It’s a RIP OFF!! HOW CAN THESE PRIMERS GO FROM 34 BUCKS IN 2020. AND IN 3 MONTHS MORE THAN DOUBLE IN PRICE!? BULLCHIT IMO.

Norm

Shipping and the usual HazMat ripoff.

Norm

Assuming these are still in stock, this is a great price. It’s about the same as what I paid for 1000 CCI primers a couple of months ago.

Around two years ago, I used a brick of Cheddite primers for trapshooting. No problems at all. Very consistent.
