Colorado: Assault Weapon Ban Pulled from Committee Agenda

Come and take it ar-15 NRA-ILA
IMG NRA-ILA

Earlier this week, the House Judiciary Committee pulled House Bill 23-1230 (“HB 23-1230”) from the agenda thanks to the strong opposition of NRA members and Second Amendment supporters. The committee received thousands of messages opposing HB 23-1230, a bill that bans the manufacturing, importing, purchasing, selling, offering to sell, or transferring ownership of what the drafters have defined as an “assault weapon.”  No hearing is scheduled at this time, but the fight is not over yet. They are still likely to take action on this bill at some point this session, so we must remain vigilant!

Again, thank you to NRA Members and Second Amendment supporters who contacted their lawmakers in strong opposition to this anti-gun bill.

Pulling a bill from a committee agenda doesn’t end the treat since it .ight be introduced at midnight on a Friday night. Don’t let down your guard. Educate the public because ” THEY” can commit a horrible crime when ” THEY” want and we must wait for them.

Bubba

That’s sad but true.
Those snake headed bastards will do anything to sneak shit past you.

Choogie

They are far worse than a room full of SNAKES. They are the SCUMM OF THE EARTH. Patrick Henry said give me Liberty or Give Me Death! He spent 33 days fighting a filibuster to have the Second Amendment entered into our BILL Of Rights ! We must stand and fight to keep our arms AND you damn well know what those arms were for and it wasn’t Deer hunting. What ever you do , Never Give up Your Arms.

If the DemocRAT gun-grabbers somehow sneak this through later in the sesson, it will certainly be signed into law by Gov. Twinkie-Dink Polis. Then you can count on a lawsuit charging that the law is Unconstutional. And rightfully so, because it is !

Bubba

Those spineless pieces of shit will, for sure try to pass that in the middle of the night, like an airplane filled with illegals

Oldman

They stopped because it was all about the image of doing ‘something’. Let’s just face it; The radical left, the Biden admin and the rinos don’t believe in the constitution and never have. Power and money is all that counts. Patriots are in the minority and soon will be on the ‘hunted list’ if we are not already, and I think we already are. Like Jayson Whitlock said on Tucker Carlson last Thursday night, “We have already lost our Republic to the the Socialists and Communists” as he fought back tears. There are already laws on the books that are… Read more »

Colorado has gone downhill fast since Bloomberg purchased a house there.

Mikial

Colorado has been going downhill for decades. Ever since John Denver put it on the Liberal “places I want to live” list back in the 70s.

Cruiser

This may be a dumb question, but are we getting court costs or punitive damages awarded? These jackleswill just keep biting our ankles untill they are stopped.

Behind The Lines in N.J.

The 1970’s John Denver immigrant/infiltrator hippies lose. GOOD!!

PMinFl

And I thought that only the military, law enforcement agencies , and a few collectors had “Assault Weapons”. my bad

Finnky

In Afghanistan surrender Biden gave more assault weapons to the taliban than even US police have! Guess he thinks that because they need the rifles for their work (Jihad), they need to have latest modern machine guns – unlike us innocent US civilians who should feel privileged to be allowed to own fifty year old tools.

Just another demonstration of how much he loves our country and people…. more accurately how little he cares for us.

Steve

Ok, now all you NRA Haters out there – time to give that state NRA Chapter it’s due! I know, I know, I hate Wayne LaPierre as much as anyone else on this and other websites – but – this is a small, but sound victory.

Choogie

Yeah !! a small Victory but with a big knife in their hand and I wonder who’s back it is in. I don’t feed the Wolf in Sheep’s clothing.

John Libertarian

Having testified at the capital in Denver on this topic, the NRA was nowhere to be found but they sure like to take a victory lap claiming they somehow influenced this decision. The same can be said with ongoing battles in other states where they claim to be on the offensive but are sure as hell not actively doing anything besides lip service. Why anyone in their right mind would even consider still supporting them after their three decades long ponzi scheme was exposed blows my mind. They are corrupt to the core.

Orion

and specifically what ponzi scheme are you referring to? would it be the NRAs intense lobbying effort to stop AWB 2.0 after Sand Hook in 2013? is your memory that short? lol.

The kind where the board of directors and Wayne have been laundering millions of dollars for themselves from their “non-profit” while compromising your rights away. The same scheme where they are projected to file bankruptcy in the next 6 months due to hemorrhaging members and their cash outflows exceed intake because some former members are starting to finally see their true colors. The same that funnels money to RINO’s that signed onto the bipartisan safer communities act who are still listed as have rated as A+. The NRA is sinking ship and Wayne and his cronies will bleed it dry on… Read more »

while im no longer any fan of WLP, my greatest concern is should we lose the NRA our Second Amendment Right will become nothing but a memory. No other 2A organization has the clout to fend off attacks from liberal socialists. Those who welcome its demise are going to bring us down on your paper boat.

PMinFl

I used to think the same way,BUT, the NRA has been riding on it’s past reputation while it really doesn’t do much at all. A shell of it’s former effectiveness.

Orion

there has been no national threat in recent years. FJB can talk but he knows who is blocking him from passing any regulation through congress and it’s not the GOA.
Until i hear Pelosi or Schumer say something… ANYTHING.. negative about GOA or another pro 2A organization we know who they fear the most.

Mikial

Losing the NRA would be a big victory for the Liberals. We need to clean it up and fire WLP.. Now they’re going to declare bankruptcy and sell the Virginia office. Yet more betrayal of the members that made WLP rich.

Orion

MagPul is still there they just dont manufacture mags in Colorado.

TGP389

Shame on them, then. They need to abandon Colorado entirely.

Orion

for you 3 ignorant ones….

“Magpul retains a small footprint in Colorado in the form of an administrative office to facilitate the relocation and serve as a regional support office. Magpul officials have said that they will continue to support gun rights in Colorado even after moving their headquarters and production facilities.”
