Armed Tennessee Homeowner Shoots Both & Kills 1 of 2 Home Invaders

Murfreesboro, Tennessee — An armed and prepared Murfreesboro, Tennessee homeowner won’t face any charges after he shot and killed one man and injured another during a burglary attempt on Friday, May 5, 2023.

According to police reports, the two men, identified as 52-year-old Kevin Ford and 42-year-old Clifford Wright, broke into the home in the 100 block of January Street wearing gloves and masks.

Once inside, they used a Taser on the family’s dog and held the teenage son at gunpoint.

The homeowner, whose identity has not been released, responded by grabbing his gun and shooting the two men multiple times. When the police arrived at the scene, they found Ford dead at the front door. Wright was found with multiple gunshot wounds at the Salvation Army on Main Street, where he was treated and then taken into police custody on charges of aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated robbery, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent felony.

The incident is still under investigation, but the homeowner is NOT facing any charges. The need for law-abiding homeowners to defend themselves and their loved ones is growing, and this case underscores the importance of having the ability to protect one’s home.

Mostly liberal Democrats continue to whine and debate about the need for gun control in the United States, with many mistakenly arguing that stricter gun laws could prevent incidents like this from occurring. However, Americans with a clear understanding of the Second Amendment know that responsible gun ownership is a fundamental fact and that law-abiding citizens have every right to defend themselves and their property.

This incident highlights the importance of being prepared with the tools and knowledge to use lethal force to defend against a surprise home invasion. While no one wants to imagine the worst-case scenario, but it is essential to have a plan in place and to know how to defend oneself in case of a threat or to protect your property. Homeowners should consider investing in multiple rifles, shotguns, or handguns, receiving training in self-defense, and keeping firearms stage for fast access for home defense protection.

The incident in Murfreesboro was a tragic event for the homeowner, but we are glad he and his family survived. While the investigation is ongoing, it is clear that the homeowner acted in self-defense and that he will not face any charges. Every week, good guys with guns continue to destroy the debate over gun control with their successful self-defense actions.

An armed society is a polite society.

Too bad for everyone it wasn’t 2 for 2 on this vermin. This is why I need an AR15. This is why I need high capacity magazines.

He still batted .500, better than the average MLB player.

Obviously not, the second guy was still breathing when caught him.

gregs

beating a dead horse but, how would more restricting firearms help stop home invasions? that is almost as stupid as saying not having a home would prevent these home invasions.
focus on the individual not the inanimate object morons.

DonP

Answer: It would protect Democrat voters from being shot. Not that being dead ever stopped a Democrat from voting anyway.

Praise the lord and pass the popcorn.

The only better outcome would have been two for two.

The hero home owner should be given the keys to the city and tax free status for life. Home owner deserves a major award.

Saved tax slaves millions in prosecution and incarceration costs and saved fellow citizens from future predation.

Tis a shame these WANTON TERRORISTS — INSIST on attacking American Citizens. EVERYONE must remember —- YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE for your own safety! The Supreme Court Judges even said this FACT!!!
I feel sorry the homeowner will have to live with the fact of killing an individual. I hope the D. A. does not RELEASE this THUG back onto the innocent Public!

This happened in Tennessee, “The patron state of shootin’ shit” quote from the movie SHOOTER. I doubt that he’ll be back real soon.

Maybe they don’t have such a statute in TN? That should be a highly publicized federal law. The number of people willing to do hone invasions would drop precipitously or we’d have a whole lot less animals roaming our streets.

You’re sorry the homeowner will have to live with the fact of killing an individual? Do you feel sorry for rats that invade your house that you have to kill? I place these kinds of human psychopaths on the same level and would like to have 20 invade so I can kill all 20. And sleep well afterwards. Does that make me a bad person? No, just someone who believes that PEST CONTROL is necessary for a clean home and neighborhood.

Which makes me wonder. Did these criminals know the man personally ? Possible drugs relations ? Or past co workers ? How did the criminals know he would even have anything of value worth stealing ? Most people today don’t even carry cash. And hocking valuables is a lot harder these days.

I’m not buying it, how could two well known and loved valedictorians, who were just about to launch their own widget business and make millions of dollars and create hundreds of jobs for the community, do such a terrible thing?? It MUST be some kind of racist case of mistaken identity!! Not.

I can read the words now..”My son was a good boy. He was just trying to feed his famawee. Wees gonna suew da homeboy for shottin him! He shulda jus gave up whut my son wunted.” (I just couldn’t help it!)

Surprise, surprise…one from the “hood” unfortunately survived. SHOT PLACEMENT IS CRITICAL. Another good reason to have laser sighted weapons. If they are zeroed you can’t miss. My Keltec shotgun with #4 buck would have given Cliffy boy a really bad case of acne pits on his mug. And he would be worm food afterwards.

What happened to Rob Morse? He hasn’t been the author of several of these armed homeowner stories.

Bubba

He John Wicked them. Never mess with a man’s dog.

I’m not sure why I keep getting a “duplicate comment” rejection? Over all, a good job by the homeowner; with a little more work on his gun control he should have 2 for 2 if there’s a next time. The woke libs will probably charge him with home ownership so as to encourage home invasion.

Nice job by Dad! I wonder what caliber the pistol was that the other POS is still alive after multiple GSW? Probably a 9mm standard ball ammo. If it was a .45 Hollow points, he’d be two for two. Less cost to the taxpayer having to cover the medical bills at the Hospital. Downstairs in the morgue it’s a toe tag and potters field.

Let’s see if the surviving s***bag is actually tried and convicted on all those charges. Anyone think the AFT or Fed DOJ will go after Mr Wright for the felon in possession charge? I’m not holding my breath.
