Sorry, don’t want to hunt for a red dot to find the aimpoint and don’t want to give away my position with a flashlight or red dot. I will stick with my Trueglow and Mepro sights.
As long as you don’t modify the trigger on your carry pistol “Your honor, Mr. Doe had to put a tactical trigger into his weapon, in order to shoot my client.” I also don’t like weapons mounted lights, in order to light someone up you are pointing your pistol at them, hopefully it’s not your teenager sneaking in late at night.
The Apex flat trigger for the Sig is a much better option, yet it was not mentioned.
I have a gen 3 Glock. I found a plate that fits in the dovetail of the rear sight on Amazon. I had to do some file work on the dovetail of the plate but I now have a red dot on a gen 3 Glock 17L. Do not alter the dovetail on the slide in case you want to put the original sight back on.
Although I can’t quite understand why firearm manufacturers make guns that require trigger upgrades, I will agree that if your trigger upgrade improves the accuracy of your shooting, it’s worthwhile for you to consider. A red dot and a light are both great upgrades, if you have money to burn and don’t care to learn how people made due prior. It pays to note that they greatly affect the concealability of the gun.
