Sigh, I have too much belly to wear a band.
For my use when carrying concealed the belly band holster is the best option as my pistol is totally concealed even when my shirt is tucked inside my pants. There are a number of brands on the market so those promoted here are not quite as suitable as some others on the market. I have found that somewhat above the waist carry works best. There is open celled Neoprene, and I hope that’s what the BravoBelt is made from. Wetsuit Neoprene is closed cell, and it’s the opposite of breathable. There’s a reason full wetsuits are sometimes nicknamed “steamers”. My choice for a belly band? A surplus M-1956 belt with a kydex holster bolted into the eyelets. Unlike later ALICE belts, it has three rows of holes rather than just two, so there’s a better chance you can make an existing holster fit without modification. The only band here that will accomodate a light is the Crossbreed. Alas, they don’t have a model that will accomodate MY light. I currently use a ComfortTac with the barrel stiching ripped out. It works, but it’s not perfect. I wish the belly band makers would take lights into consideration.
