Gun Owners Win This Round! Let’s Keep the Phone Lines Hot!

Illinois --( Your phone calls, emails and faxes paid off!

Senate sponsors could not find the votes for HB815 and HB1263 yesterday.

The bills included a semi-auto/magazine/and public range restrictions that would have served as a ban. After passing the bills out of Senate Public Health Committee on Wednesday night, the bills floundered on Thursday when the sponsors could not gather enough support to call the bills for a vote.

The lame duck session continues until Wed. Jan. 9 when the new 98th General Assembly members will be sworn into office.

Please call your State Senators at their home district offices over the weekend and urge their continued support in opposing these outrageous attempts to infringe on our Second Amendment rights.

The IllinoisCarry forum was started in April 2004. The idea was that Illinois needed a central location to communicate ideas and information regarding 2nd Amendment issues in Illinois. There are many organizations in Illinois working to protect our 2nd Amendment Rights. Working with these groups IllinoisCarry has become the central location for information and Action Alerts. IllinoisCarry will not endorse political candidates. We simply provide information so voters can make informed decisions. Our goal is to join the other 48 states that allow their citizens to carry concealed firearms. We encourage you to register on our forum and join the fight for your 2nd Amendment Rights in Illinois. That’s the first good news I’ve read in weeks! Leave it to Ammoland to be the one to bring it. Thank you! Where did all these gunned come from anyway? It wasn’t the long ago where a body could go to the local drug store or gas station/ market and buy a Thomson .45 with a drum magazine. Gun Laws have never reduced any crime nor has it stopped a thug from commiting a crime. A little further back people were nice to one another. One of the main reasons was you didn’t know what the other person was carrying under his jacket, cost or even his cane (a sword or single shot cane) that’s what’s happening now, road ragged drivers, purse snatchers and other petty thugs are thinking twice before assaulting people in general due to concile carry. All these crap barkers should really research the past before shooting they’re mouths off trying to find the fix.

I used to live in Illinois. I was a member of the ISRA, and always went to IGOLD in March. This year, it will be held on March 6th in Springfield, IL. I urge all of you folks in Illinois to attend. I now reside in Florida(where we carry guns)but if I was still in Illinois, I would be there!

I live in this great (yea right) state of IllINOIS.
Being an older man 56 years young, I have found myself never without axis to, open carrying, or concealed carrying my firearm. This has become a way of lifefor me, and I am good at it.
When different occasions arise, the transporting or carring of my firearm tops my list of preperation.
If I cant keep myself safe or defend my love ones then I dont go. So as you can understand I do not travel to many places in the Chicago land area. Unless I prepare myself for the trip.
