Support North Carolina Small Businesses with Subcontractor Industry Day
Remington to provide more than $238 million in subcontracting opportunities to Small Businesses under
U.S. Government-approved Small Business Subcontracting Plan
Madison, N.C. -(Ammoland.com)- Remington Arms Company, LLC (“Remington”) is pleased to announce the success of its Subcontractor Industry Day, hosted by Remington Defense and the North Carolina Military Business Center (NCMBC) on March 5, 2013. Remington Defense established the event to support current and future relationships with local businesses in the state of North Carolina.
“Small businesses and the entrepreneurial spirit are at the heart of the American economy. We are proud to help support and strengthen these principles by building relationships with the local business community in North Carolina,” said John Day, Vice President at Remington Defense. “We are pleased that this Subcontractor Industry Day was a huge success, helping us bring local subcontractors and suppliers together. We are looking forward to continuing conversations in the coming weeks with many of the strong candidates who participated in the event.”
The Remington Defense Subcontractor Industry Day provided an opportunity for local subcontractors to
learn about Remington Defense and its military weapon and ammunition programs, to network with and
present their business to Remington Defense representatives, and to learn how to be successful suppliers
and subcontractors to Remington, the country’s largest and oldest maker of rifles.

The U.S. Government recently approved Remington’s 2013 Small Business Subcontracting Plan, which
outlines strategies for Remington to forge relationships with local companies to support the continued
growth of its Defense Division. As part of this plan, Remington will provide more than $238 million in
subcontracting opportunities to small businesses in order to both support local economies and provide
quality, affordable products to its customers.
