Great, but where do you buy it and even more so where do you find 22LR ,this is ridiculous , haven’t been able to find 22LR in St. Louis for over a month anywhere. I’d love to buy a couple more types of 22 but what good is it if yu can’t get ammo. Just got a Savage 17HMR this weekend because you can find ammo gut it’s twice what 22LR should be at its high end. Some thing is not right in that you can’t find ammo, is it the government , hoarders or manufactures trying to drive the price up?
What good is 2nd Amdmt with guns but no ammo?

This looks like a nice rifle, too bad it’s a Ruger product. Ruger as a company SUCKS! This take-down rifle is another example of their typical “go screw yourself” attitude towards its customers. If you own a 10/22 take-down rifle you will note that the included backpack has two long pockets that can accommodate two barrels but try to order an extra barrel and see how far you get.

My experience trying to get an extra barrel with flash suppressor landed me on the phone with some ditsy female “customer service” representative that regaled me with some nonsense that Ruger doesn’t sell extra barrels because “each barrel is associated with a specific rifle”. When I asked where the matching serial number on the barrel is located I got a series of ummms, huh? and I dunno. As we all know, this is total BULL SHIT! Not to mention that there are a plethora of aftermarket barrels on the market for the traditional 10/22.

More frustrating yet. there is a great integral suppressor that is currently being manufactured requires that you send your current barrel because the suppressor manufacturer cannot purchase additional barrels either. So….. it will appear that we will all have to wait until some entrepreneur or current aftermarket company starts making superior replacement barrels for the 10/22 take-down.

Shame on Ruger and their indifference and stupidity. I for one plan to never buy another Ruger product. I will buy a high end Volquartsen 10/22 clone.
