New Jersey --(Ammoland.com)- Governor Christie responds to anti gun media in Keansburg, NJ on July 7, 2014, that criticized his recent veto of the ten round magazine / gun ban.

Governor Christie:

“Michael, I’ve heard the argument and so are we saying then that the 10 children, on the clip that they advocate for, that their lives are less valuable? If you take the logical conclusion of their argument, you go to zero because every life is valuable.”

“And so why 10? Why not six? Why not two? Why not one? Why not zero? Why not just ban guns completely? I mean, you know so the logical conclusion of their argument is that you get to zero eventually. So I understand their argument.”

“I feel extraordinary sympathy for them and the other families and all of the families across America who are the victims of gun violence including the young man who was killed in West Orange a couple of weeks ago, not with an automatic weapon, not with a clip.”

“You know wanton gun violence is bad no matter how it’s conducted and I understand their argument. I’ve heard their argument. I don’t agree with their argument. We have a fundamental disagreement about the effectiveness of what they’re advocating for. And I’ve listened to them. I’ve met with them. I heard their arguments directly and personally.”

“I’ve read a lot on this issue and I made the decision that I made.”

    1. Govt Christie,I have commend you for your thinking and logic on this veto, you are right when you say 6 or 4 or 2,what will be next I am 100%with you, and are so many of my friends. You can never please every one,but a large per cent of the state is behind you,THANKS

    2. Gov.Christie, I thank you for doing what you swore to by your oath of office in upholding the US Constitution. Gov,they are NOT clips they are magazines !

    3. Wonder how they feel about belts and links. @.@
Or better yet black powder revolvers with no brass to micro stamp.

    4. Christie is just giving lip service. He has voted for anti-gun legislation before. He knows that if he stands any kind of chance of running for president, he has to be on the side of gun owners or run as a Democrap. He has to try and win back conservative voters. People suddenly dropped his name as a contender for president with his chummy pictures with Obozo, during their hurricane in Hew Jersey. I would applaud the governor, if I thought there was an ounce of sincerity in his talk, but he has shown that he is much like Obozo.

    5. Christie is just posturing for a run for president. He’s a gun grabbing statist tyrant at heart. Don’t be fooled Americas.

    6. He got bad mouthed because he did not sit down with the people from Newtown.

Why should he, they are not his constituents.

If I went to California would Boxer, Pelosi and Feinstein give me the time of day?

    7. Governor Christie has already lost my support. As stated before my comment, he has voted for anti-gun legislation in the past. R.I.N.O! He wears it like a coat.

    8. someone should research his actual voting record on all matters and publish it for all to see. the complete voting record gives you the complete man
