Illinois Residents Want To Know, When Should I Carry?

Illinois –-(Ammoland.com)-  For those with Illinois concealed carry licenses the question is “When should you carry?”

The answer is everywhere and every time you can. The reason for this is that none of us can predict when an attack may be coming. It could happen when you take the garbage out or when you quickly run to the convenience store to replace that constantly empty milk bottle or orange juice carton.

Criminals look for people who are unprepared.

In Ferguson, Missouri the story is the same. Two businesses have not been looted. They are the gun shop and the store next to the gun shop. Both stores have armed owners and employees inside. I bet you missed that little tidbit in the mainstream media.

Every week I get calls regarding all of the restricted places for concealed carry in Illinois. I am aware of them. We knew that it would take five years to get the bugs worked out. With the legislature not in session, there is little that can happen other than planning – which is what we are doing. The new legislative session will start on the second Wednesday in January 2015.

Soon we will have our 111th anniversary coin raffle. You will receive a special mailing on this; it is available to members only. If you receive this bulletin and you are not a member, there is a simple solution – JOIN!

One minor correction – the first practical .45 semiauto pistol was the Browning-designed Colt Model of 1905, the which was improved upon to become the Model of 1911.

If I lived in Chicago it would be once a day, all day long, and once a night from dusk till dawn to quote an old country song.

Every waking hour. Mine is on my hip or within reach 24 hours a day. No I am not afraid, I am prepared.

In NJ we still have de facto no carry as it is impossible to get a carry permit even though legally possible.

I moved out of IL but am still an ISRA member. The question should be, “Where can I carry?” My advice, stay out of Cook County and especially Chicago.

Eric

Anytime your in a place without alcohol and legal to carry.
