Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- On June 8th 2015, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) pardoned aspiring black cop Steffon Josey-Davis.
I previously reported that Davis was pulled over for a routine traffic violation in 2013 and thereafter charged with a second-degree felony for a having a legally owned gun in his glove compartment.
The felony derailed Davis’ hopes of being a police officer. He reached out to the NAACP for legal help, but they refused to get involved.
Davis speculated on the NAACP’s refusal, saying, “Basically, like, I’m not getting shot by a police officer so they’re not going to come out and defend me.”
After being snubbed by the NAACP, Davis’ only remaining hope of getting the felony removed was via an appeal for pardon to Governor Christie.
Davis requested a pardon from Christie in January of 2015. And according to an AP report, Christie has now pardoned Davis.

I am not a Christie fan but when he does a good thing it should be brought out. Now if he would get rid of the commie gun laws in the sewer known as NJ Then he would be showing eal leadership. But my hat is off to him for giving that guy a pardon. As for the NAACP they are a useless left wing group
At this point, I do not trust Chris Christie. He has done nothing, as of yet, to change my mind on that issue. No trust, no vote. Christie has a hell of a lot of work to do to become the republican nominee. I would vote for him before hillery
every time. I believe having hillery clinton as our president would mean the end of the free United States I have come to know. Obama, and past presidents, have chipped away enough of our freedoms.
I was pulled over once, in a slow moving traffic clogged trip across Interstate 80 – while I was passing through New Jersey. It was an Interstate Highway stop… by a State Patrol Officer – purely because I had tinted windows that he felt were too dark. I was not – never have been…and NEVER WILL BE…a resident of the state, mind you…I was just passing through with out of state plates on the car. Officer Mouse (I believe his first name was Mickey – but it was some years ago and the memory fogs with time) proceeded to unsnap… Read more »
Our esteemed Governor promised to over haul New Jerseys gun laws when he ran the first time. He hummed and hauled when he was presented with two different gun laws until the last minute before he vetoed them. Chris Christie is a phony and a fraud. I will never vote for him.
There are many places where he can be trained and hired as a police officer. In fact, the NEED for Black police is so large that people with real arrest records are being hired in places like New Orleans today. He has NO felony on his record. And, just as all Federal Law Officials have smoked grass and answered to the affirmative, as a part of their training, he would be able to explain that his prior arrest, without conviction and with pardon, would never have happened in most of the still free States Of The Union.
He should have known better than to be carrying a gun in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey without a permit. No one in thier right minds will hire him now pardoned or not. First, if he can’t follow the law how can you expect him to enforce the law. Second, think about this, he has made an arrest on a weapons charge and is on the stand, the defense attorney asks, isn’t it true officer that you yourself have carried a weapon illegally and were in fact arrested for illegal weapons possession.
