Patriots – Remain Steadfast

Trenton, NJ –-(Ammoland.com)-  In his inaugural address to the nation as its first president, George Washington declared, “the propitious smiles of Heaven can never be expected on a nation that disregards the eternal rules of order and right, which Heaven itself has ordained.”

Few would dispute that we have witnessed a steady and increasing departure from “the eternal rules of order and right” within our lifetimes.

While this has taken place across many areas of society, nowhere is it more apparent than in the area of individual Liberty – a bedrock principle upon which our nation was founded.

As our leaders brazenly gouge away huge chunks of that bedrock, we watch as privacy evaporates, property rights crumble, religious freedom is assaulted, and the right to self- defense is turned on its head.

We watch as politicians concoct new schemes to end gun rights, tragedies are exploited, and even our own military are disarmed and turned into victims.

We watch as our leaders lavish themselves with taxpayer-funded armed security, while destroying everyone else’s right to self-protection, and demonizing us as extremists for even wanting to exercise that basic human right.

We watch as a complicit media legitimizes the ruthless destruction of Freedom, and marginalizes anyone who dares to deviate from the predetermined script.

Yet many Americans barely even notice. They rush off to celebrate holidays like the Fourth of July, where they wave the flag and think that they are free, even as the fireworks drown out the sounds of seismic shifts happening right beneath their feet.

Just because we have guns and set off fireworks on July 4th doesn’t mean we’re free. If there’s little Liberty left to protect, then what value are they?

Freedom is a state of being, a birthright, a precious gift from Above which governments can neither give nor take away. It is supposed to be government’s job to protect Liberty, yet that responsibility has not only been abdicated – the precise opposite is being implemented.

As Washington’s “propitious smiles of Heaven” withdraw from a nation that once enshrined those “eternal rules of order and right,” know that we have been called to this moment in history for a reason.

With Liberty dangling by a thread, with bureaucratic steamrollers poised to crush what’s left, it is our job to remain steadfast in Freedom’s defense, no matter what challenges we face, no matter how overwhelming the odds or how strong the forces arrayed against us.

Together and with help from Above, we will answer that call.
