While taking my son trick or treating, we saw a boy in an authentic police uniform. Except for his age and stature, he looked like a real cop. He had a smart phone in his pocket that had an app running that picks up police radio from anywhere in the country. He had the app picking up Chicago PD because he said it had the most going on more than anywhere else. The closest major city to us is Wichita, Kansas, where no permit is required to carry concealed, or openly.

Ben

Why is this list and article plastered all over newspapers like Times (LA and NY), edotorials, etc.

Art Brown

It’s not gun control that “they” want. It’s people control.

If you want details on crime prevention in gun-free zones, look at México: There is a strict prohibition against guns. Therefore, following Sheikh Hussein of Obamastan’s reasoning, it is the safest country in North America, right?

RJ

But Obama is right. That is why he, all his staff, the democrats and the rinos are all giving up their armed guards and designating all areas where they and their families are located gun free zones. Yeah, right.

Rob in NJ Hell

And take note that in NJ concealed carry is effectively banned statewide. Coincidence? I think not.

Jeff

Didn’t Obama say that the states with the strictest gun laws have lower violent crime rate than those with looser laws? Could it be that he was misinformed or it he just plain lying to us? A liberal lie to get his way, what a concept.

Herb

How can this be? According to the muslim in the White House, there is a gun epidemic in this country responsible for mass murders as well as single murders. According to democrats, guns are responsible for all manners of crime, not individuals or really, really stupid policy and laws created by democrats. How can this be? I just might never vote for another lying democrat as long as I live. Of course, after I die, I will likely vote for democrats two or more times in each election.

Marcel

There seems to be some backwards reasoning here. I would think that tighter gun control laws and gun free zones would have come about because of high gun related crime rates in a given area. It’s clear that the highest gun crime rates are in the big cities that are crawling with drug dealers and other hood rats and that gun control measures are seen by some as a way of dealing with the problem.

oldshooter

In response to Marcel above: It is entirely possible that you are correct, and the more dangerous cities have responded to rising crime rates by imposing more gun restrictions. That made good sense. However, as time passes, those cities should be able to see, by looking at the dropping violent crime rates in cities that have loosened their restrictions, that the increased restrictions are probably counter-productive. In any case, they MUST see that the restrictions have failed to improve matters for them, which would suggest a major review of their policies. Instead of reviewing their policies in light of data… Read more »

Time has passed. And Control still doesn’t work. How about Liberal control. Lets give that some time to work. Starting in 2016.

TEX

The moral to this story is that states and cities with the most ‘gun free zones’ have the highest murders and firearm related crime rates in the country. Less ‘gun free zones’ equates to less firearm related crime.

Dindu Nuffin

Yeah, the most gun-free zones. It’s something like that, but I can’t quite put my finger on what else all these places have in common.

Angel D. Macoto

Good!

Heywood Jablowme

I noticed that the higher the mud people the higher the crime rate, what do you know?
