Washington DC – -(Ammoland.com)- On December 21 2015 Republican presidential hopeful Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) introduced legislation to render any executive action on guns impotent by rendering it “advisory only.”
According to The Hill, Paul’s legislation would apply to “any execution action on gun control that either infringes upon congressional authority or potentially violates the Second Amendment.”
Once labeled “advisory only,” the action would require Congressional passage before it could take effect. Paul’s legislation would also allow a “state official, member of Congress or person affected by an executive action on gun control to launch a civil lawsuit.”
The legislation is being “fast-tracked” through the Senate and is expected to be added to the Senate calendar and taken up once Senators return from recess.
Paul said, “In the United States, we do not have a king, but we do have a Constitution. We also have the Second Amendment, and I will fight tooth and nail to protect it.”

Keith is right. Of course there is always the possibility that if the President doesn’t get around to the veto timely the bill automatically becomes law.
Maby we needto get on it and get it passed !
@Keith,why do you think it wouldn’t pass Senate ?
Curious George is going to shaft us all 1 more time and that will be regarding Firearms my fellow Americans…..
E.O’s are for running the federal government, much like a CEO runs a company, the president cannot legally pass any rules, laws or regulations on the people, thats why there is three branches of government, and people need to get their state legislators to enforce the 10th Amendment
I’m sure it’s a great piece of legislation, but it’ll never clear the Senate, and Rand knows it. Even if it does clear the Senate (as of now it probably wouldn’t have any problem in the House), unless it’s attached to another piece of legislation, this bill is doomed to a veto. This bill is designed to do nothing more than shore up his voting base, which is fine, but the legislation is meaningless. It’s not going anywhere.
