Department of Defense

USA – -(Ammoland.com)- It’s good to be back and I’m grateful to serve alongside you as Secretary of Defense.

Together with the Intelligence Community we are the sentinels and guardians of our nation.

We need only look to you, the uniformed and civilian members of the Department and your families, to see the fundamental unity of our country.

You represent an America committed to the common good; an America that is never complacent about defending its freedoms; and an America that remains a steady beacon of hope for all mankind.

Every action we take will be designed to ensure our military is ready to fight today and in the future. Recognizing that no nation is secure without friends, we will work with the State Department to strengthen our alliances.

Further, we are devoted to gaining full value from every taxpayer dollar spent on defense, thereby earning the trust of Congress and the American people.

I am confident you will do your part. I pledge to you I’ll do my best as your Secretary.

MATTIS SENDS

I am so happy that this man is in charge. He will make AMERICA great again,I will bet the rules of engagement will change asap for our military, and make them the no#1 fighting force in the world!!!!

I can add little to any of the above posts. Good job so far in spite of the left. At least, Mr. Trump is putting people in these key positions that actually know something about what they are doing. He is trying to get America back on track.

8 years of Obama and the leeches in charge have almost depleted our great nation, but God has smiled down on us again. Let’s support President Trump and his cabinet. Law and order is back. God is back. Our children will be better educated, not looking up to the wrong heroes such as Beyonce, Jay z and similar scum. Good black people will be elevated among us,keep ALL Muslim out of America and stop the freebies to those who simply do not want to work.I havent heard of the black lives matter stinky crowd in a few days, especially since… Read more »

General Mattis: Welcome Aboard, Sir. Great to have a man of your history and integrity. A true Marine and man with whom this nation is secure in peace, and if need be, at war.

As a career US Army veteran, I’d easily be comfortable (at any point), returning to service, if called upon, to our great nation with you as OUR SECRETARY OF DEFENSE. GOD BLESS YOU, AND GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, GENERAL!

Too many ?Americans? got used to the free phones, housing handouts, free money etc. and the free loaders coming in disguised as refugees (with no women or children among them) getting free Medicare, social security and everything else. In some places I have been these people were called sappers. Do not get me wrong, I believe in helping anyone who needs it but helping people so they can kill us in our own country is crazy. I do not think that banning everyone is the answer but I do think we need to revamp our immigration policies and procedures. I… Read more »

Give credit to the ones that worked around the clock 24-7 putting there lives on the line…..not Obama, the only credit that he did was the credit card that he used to rack up a $100,000.000 dollar bill just on his vacation’s..not counting the shopping trips that his wife and mother n law took globe trod ding………

Yet crime in the USA is down and Obama got Bin Laden. Give credit where credit is due.

Some of his former USMC staff have stated that the press nicknamed him “Mad Dog”. The Marines called him “The Warrior Monk”. He has never married and he has over 7,000 volumes on the Art of War! He probably has a plan on file to decimate ISIS.

Don Bailey

A good man devoted to God and country who has no doubts about his loyalties and priorities. Our new secretary of defense is a perfect example of what leadership is all about, and no doubt, is not going to win any popularity contest because of it.

Short, succinct, direct and to the point. There is a great benefit to having a General and not a politician in command.
