Dayton, OH-(Ammoland.com)- New for 2018 is Hi-Point’s high-performance carbine in 10mm Auto.

At only $389.99, this new carbine will shoot with much higher dollar carbines and of course will send the bullet just as fast. Hi-Point began work on this project in the spring of 2017 due to customer demand for an affordable carbine platform chambered in this powerful pistol cartridge.

When a 10mm round is fired from a barrel several inches longer than a handgun, the velocity, range and energy really jumps up, making this carbine so powerful it’s even legal for big game hunting in some states.

“This new carbine chambered for the potent 10mm cartridge will make a lot of buyers happy,” says MKS president Charles Brown. “Tough, reliable and accurate, it fills the bill for a robust, reliable and accurate firearm that delivers excellent performance.”

I had a HP .45 pistol years ago. It’s one butt ugly pistol but it never failed to feed, go bang or extract.
The pistols are still butt ugly…..The carbines aren’t gonna win any beauty contests but everything I read says that they are solid performers. So I’ve taken the plunge and bought one of the new 10mm’s. It should be in my hands by mid week.

Do the mags for the carbine and the handgun interchange? It would be a very nice option to only have to carry one set of mags.

I own the HP 995, I went to the local gun shop looking at it maybe 6 times before I bit. I did look at many comments from others that owned one all were good, so I came home with it, I put on a red dot, now I call it a sewing machine point and click nice little shooter, it is the only 9mm I have found right out of the box that shoots 9+p+ and does it like a champ 50 yards is impressive. I want the 10mm now if it is anything like the 9mm I will… Read more »

I love High Point, both their handguns and their carbines, but quite frankly Hi-Point really has to pull their heads out of their posteriors concerning the 10-round mags!

What will it take for Hi-Point hierarchy to finally get the point, but their customer base wants 20 and 30 round magazine capacities?

This is the only real downside to the people at High Point, they are just simply not listening to their customer base when it comes to magazine capacity!

Wake up High Point, and get with the program!
