New Jersey – -(AmmoLand.com)- Earlier this week, the lower federal court assigned to ANJRPC’s legal challenge to New Jersey’s magazine ban upheld the state’s gun magazine ban. That ban (on magazines that can hold over 10 rounds) went into effect in December of last year and turned over a million law-abiding citizens into criminals for keeping property that they lawfully purchased previously.
While the decision was disappointing, it was not unexpected, and it actually moves the case more quickly toward its ultimate intended destination: the U.S. Supreme Court. A copy of the lower court’s decision can be viewed by clicking here.
Ignoring that the decision is the first step in a much longer planned journey both the State of NJ and the media ran wild with the story, claiming that ANJRPC had been dealt a “crippling blow.” Click here for NJ.com story.
In fact, the blow was anything but “crippling,” and enables the appeals phase of the case. The posture of the case can be summed up with this headline from bearingarms.com: “NJ Gun Group to State: See You and Your Mag Ban At SCOTUS.” Click here to see that story.
NRA Inside Report
NRA has always been targeted in the media and by hostile government officials, but the narrative has turned unusually brutal lately, and some gun owners are starting to fall for the spin.
ANJRPC Executive Director and NRA Board Member Scott Bach separates fact from fiction in an inside report published on Ammoland.com. This will also be Bach’s column in the upcoming issue of News & Briefs, and it is a revealing look at what is really going on at NRA headquarters. Click here to read the NRA Inside Report

What part of “shall not be infringed” do they not under-stand?
What ALL of you forget is ALL GUN CONTROL LAWS ARE UN-CONSTITUTIONAL. The fact that YOU kneel and lick the hand of the tyrant, PROVES your cowardice. When you meekly obey un-Constitutional ‘gun control laws’, you become LESS of what it means to be an American. Each time you obey, your program your brain to kneel and be a slave. THIS is about communism. The anti-American communist democrats demand a communist America. You must be disarmed to do that. So, with each incremental bite of your Rights, you give up your Rights and sovereignty. Each time you comply, you reinforce… Read more »

Surrender their magazines, one round at a time!
“NJ Gun Group to State: See You and Your Mag Ban At SCOTUS.”
Yeah, right. That’s all fine and good, but there is nothing compelling the SCOTUS to hear any case. In particular, the SCOTUS doesn’t seem to want to hear any case that might force it to confirm that the Second Amendment says what it means and means what it says. For instance, it recently refused to hear the Kettler suppressor case which could have upended the entire NFA.
Considering how the people of New Jersey vote, the fact that elected Judges would side with the anti 2nd amendment legislature is not surprising. The general population of New Jersey is anti 2nd amendment. That’s how they vote. Too bad the only other responses to the article are about the NRA and not about how to change the minds of the electorate in New Jersey.
Do either of you remember the 94 AWB? Ten round limits? Look at NZ, UK or AU and stop falling for the liberals traps. Yes the NRA leadership needs to get it’s shit together, but in the past 15 years the gun industry has had a revolution of innovation and the laws have for the most part been in our favor. We have multiple States that have constitutional concealed carry and we are close to having permit recognition across all state lines. A solid Supreme Court that had ruled in our favor multiple times recently. So yes bitch about the… Read more »
We saw Scott Bach’s shill piece for NRA and duly rejected his koolaid. Considering he’s a Whiny LaPee-yew apologist, it’s no wonder NJ is having trouble fighting gun control in their state with the likes of Bach at their helm.
I refuse to join any local gun group that fronts for the NRA and carry their water!!
What’s really going on at the NRA? I don’t trust most of the board members to give a full and honest answer. I stopped all donations to the NRA and will not contribute more until a full an independent audit is released.
