BELLEVUE, WA – -(AmmoLand.com)- Anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg, now considering a run for the presidency, has apologized for the “stop and frisk” program he ran while mayor of New York City, but the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms wants to know where his apology is to the 100 million American gun owners he has demonized and penalized for merely exercising their Second Amendment rights.
Bloomberg told a church group in Brooklyn, ‘I got something important really wrong” with the controversial “stop and frisk” policy. CCRKBA Chairman Alan Gottlieb said it’s not the only error the former Big Apple mayor made.
“You also got my gun rights wrong,” Gottlieb declared. “For years, Bloomberg has treated the constitutionally-protected Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens like they are a regulated privilege. He’s weaponized his vast wealth to erode those rights in every corner of the country by supporting anti-rights initiatives and anti-gun politicians. He has waged a war on people who have committed no crimes, harmed nobody and merely wish to be left alone to mind their own business. To protect our guns and 15 round magazines, we need to ban Bloomberg’s billion round checkbook before he assaults our Second Amendment with it.”
“Mr. Bloomberg,” he continued, “where is your apology to 100 million gun owners? When will you stand before a microphone and acknowledge the moral bankruptcy of your crusade to quash the Second Amendment?
“We know the word ‘bankruptcy’ is a term billionaires don’t like to hear,” Gottlieb observed, “but honest firearms owners don’t like such terms as ‘registration’ or ‘licensing’ or ‘waiting periods.’ Just because you have deep pockets and a fat bank account does not give you the right to say gun owners have no rights. Nobody appointed Michael Bloomberg as the arbiter of rights and freedoms protected by the Constitution.”
Bloomberg told his church audience that “far too many innocent people” were stopped by police, questioned and frisked if officers suspected that a person might have committed or was about to commit a crime.
“Bloomberg’s confession belies his treatment of American gun owners as second-class citizens,” Gottlieb said. “If anyone deserves an apology, it is the law-abiding firearms owners whose rights Bloomberg has tried to trample while he enjoys the perks of a wealthy lifestyle, including armed security that keeps a healthy distance between the former mayor and the people he treats with such disdain.”
With more than 650,000 members and supporters nationwide, the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (www.ccrkba.org) is one of the nation’s premier gun rights organizations. As a non-profit organization, the Citizens Committee is dedicated to preserving firearms freedoms through active lobbying of elected officials and facilitating the grass-roots organization of gun rights activists in local communities throughout the United States.

Just proof that politicians don’t really care about eliminating illegal guns. They are only interested in disarming the people for absolute control.
Remember when his group VIOLATED NUMEROUS federal gun laws when he was making gun purchases in different states. In addition he violated the criminal conspiracy laws but the democrats refused to prosecute this little moron because DEMOCRATS DO NOT PROSECUTE DEMOCRATS, ONLY GOP MEMBERS.
Put Bloomberg into a box as an Anti-American Anti-Constitutionalist who supports the rule of socialism by suspending freedom and liberty, and he’ll go down in flames, no matter how much money he spends. The problem for him is that the lines has been drawn, and each side has its cast of characters. There is no middle ground to trod upon, for which I’m sure he’ll try. He is, after all, all about “common sense” gun control laws, where for every stripe of “common sense” that he offers, as he preaches all that is gold, is really but the murdering of… Read more »
This little guy thinks he is smarter than the rest of us and he can nanny us till the day he dies, and he will. I would rather be remembered as a good person rather than a totarian fruit cake nanny.
The grin in this photo reminds me of “The Village Idiot”.
One of these “top dogs” will eat the other. It remains to be seen which one will die of indigestion.
It upsets some folks when I tick off facts about some people’s family history so I’ll just allude to Mr. Bloomberg’s. Wouldn’t want to rustle anyone’s jimmies. You know what I mean?
Bloomberg is a typical totalitarian communist democrat; Only HE knows what is best and good for the ‘unwashed masses’, for ‘the little people’. Bloomberg is a power-hungry totalitarian. To obtain and keep power he was a democrat, then a Republican, then a democrat. As mayor of NYC, he banned large sugary drinks, salt on tables and a host of other restrictions. Bloomberg fought against private gun ownership while he traveled New York with 26 machine gun-toting bodyguards. After all, the slaves cannot be allowed to make decisions for themselves. The very idea is absurd to democrats. Communism, sold as a… Read more »
