Oregon – -(AmmoLand.com)- The gun-grabbing Constitutional violators are at it again.
The supermajority set their Judiciary agenda today and are pushing the same legislation that Republican Senators killed last time when they walked out in protest.
They have scheduled hearings with invited testimony only for “legislative days” to push another version of HB 2505 from 2019.
“Legislative Concept 38,” mandatory gun lockdowns, will be heard on January 15th 2020 at 2 PM in Hearing Room F. (Before the actual session even begins.) We have been told that House Rep. Courtney Neron will be a co-sponsor.
Because it is invited testimony only, we can all expect the same red shirts and gun haters only to testify on taking away your rights. They can forbid you from testifying, but they cannot keep you out of the hearing.
January legislative days are a precursor to what will be railroaded through in the first weeks of the February session. They are ready to punish law-abiding Oregonians with the same garbage legislation they introduced last session and you are not invited to tell them what you think. This is the supermajority’s version of “representative government.” Silencing any dissent.
It has also been confirmed that there will be other bills introduced by the usual gun-hating suspects. Apparently they are ready to significantly limit where you can conceal carry. They want to literally make law-abiding CHL holders criminals.
Nothing has changed since the last session. This is nothing more than a continuation of the 2019 session as they push through the exact same policies. Please use this link to voice your outrage to the Oregon Democrats.
The battles are about to begin. We need your support more than ever. Please consider making whatever donation you can afford to keep us in the fight for your rights.

My letter to the Oregon Democrats. Hope it isn’t too harsh for them. I am 68 years old and a US Navy veteran. I have never been arrested or been in jail my whole life. I have never been in any legal trouble. I am a member of the NRA, I have a legal Concealed Carry permit, and have a Curio & Relics license. But Oregon wants to turn me into an automatic criminal because I would never surrender any legally owned firearms to the state. Even writing a letter like this should not be necessary in the United States.… Read more »
In a Republic, representatives “MUST” comply with a Constitution that specifically protects the rights of the minority from the will of the majority. The Republics Constitution does not give them the unchecked, unchallenged power that they so desire, to implement the Regime of control that they demand. Are these just card carrying communistic extremists that are taking orders from an outside force, that wants to take over America at any cost? Just the thoughts of the possibility, that in the future, this country could be turned over to a foreign power, should shake true Americans to the core….
I understand there are people who are for guns, and those who are against. If you are against please allow me to tell you a story of my family’s history that is of the best of my knowledge that was told me and throughout my research has let me piece some together. My generation is the first generation born on American soil. My mother was born in Perth Australia, her parents were Ukrainian. German solders (REAL nazi’s) invaded many homes in Ukraine, captured as many as they could under Adolf Hitler’s orders. My grand parents were among those captured. They… Read more »
How is it that elected servants of the people are getting away with “invited testimony only”?????
What in the world is wrong with them Democrats? It’s not the gun, it’s the person behind the gun. To try to put it in layman’s terms so they can follow…its the same as your Democratic party leaders are doing right now…they all blamed Trump for taking out Soleimani. They said 100% it’s Trump. Well, they didn’t blame the missile…but in Oregon…you’re doing the exact opposite direction…how childish.
Oregon’s Dem politicos exclusion of opposing opinions in gun legislation comes as no surprise. The hallmark position of the Left and their acolytes is to promote freedom of expression, for themselves only. Your ideas, if they do not confirm with their’s, doesn’t deserve a hearing.
My resistance will make Virginia look very docile. There is no way to work with dishonest people set on crapping on our Constitutional rights.
Quite frankly, I am surprised that Gov. Skank Brown is still alive. She has a lot of enemies.
Myself, I don’t need firearms to defend myself. I am adequate without them but that is choice.
Nobody will take my right if choice away from me.
I am a Vet and have not yet been relinquished of the oath that I took the day I joined the Service.
I will die defending my country if needs be.

At least you have a forum? In California they pass things in the night to prevent any negative views to their agendas. California gun laws have restrictions at every facet of ownership. Here are just a few: 1. Buy and pass a safety test just to be able to start the buying process. 2. Only guns approved by the state my be purchased. 3. Pay for your gun and wait 10 days, though they already know you’re legally worthy just in case you suffer from buyers remorse. 4. They used to ask what type of secure container (safe) make and… Read more »
I have said it before and I will say it again the effects of restrictive gun laws is absolutely plain to those who are willing to “honestly” look. Most of the people who are against the second amendment and guns are ignorant of facts and history (I am not saying they are stupid just that they are ignorant of the facts). They will not even listen to proven reason. Those who obey laws or those who do not obey laws are either hindered or assisted by restrictive gun laws. It effects those who obey laws the most by disarming them… Read more »
