We all need to wake up!
A middle-aged Navy veteran, walking his dog right outside his own home in a “nice part” of Philadelphia, was precipitously attacked and severely beaten recently.
He required hospitalization and is lucky to be alive.
While hardly “unusual,” this event painfully reveals the current state of our civilization.
A few points:
- Assuming other people you meet every day will follow that same rule book you do is foolish in the naive.
- Your dog (when not specifically trained to protect you) represents zero deterrent to criminal violence.
- See one VCA(violent criminal actor)? Expect that he brought a friend or two.
- It is unlikely police will arrive in time to “save” anyone. In the above case, they didn’t arrive at all.
- The “fight of your life” may unfold on your doorstep, even inside your own home.
Some go armed only “when in the bad part of town.” Curiously, “the bad part of town” is always somewhere else.
They’re kidding themselves, dangerously, as we see.
6. Lightweight kit, carried on the person continuously, will beat heavy kit left behind every time.

I’ve yet to figure out why the media thinks your veteran status means anything when it comes to crime. It’s meaningless

My heavy kit is that plus an AR-15 in 7.62×39 with 4 magazines and a KA-BAR knife that rides in my vehicle or on me. Philly, the kingpin of the Democratic Party in Pennsylvania, has been a very violent place for a very long time. They continue to vote DEMOCRAT and continue to see rising crime and every known sign of impending implosion. If PA could, I believe the good Commonwealth would benefit be taking on the project of moving the flow of the river to it’s west side, putting Philly on the NJ side, and cede it to them for a “better fit”. Perhaps this veteran’s lifestyle had something to do with his beat down? In the video clip “he and his partner complained numerous times…” “The couple admit the park across the street is a party location for people outside the neighborhood.” I bet the “couple” have called the police on the reveler’s or had altercations before with those thugs. I stopped the video when it showed the 3 gals walking him home, they must have known where he lived considering the guy had a brain injury from the beat down.
