Adulthood’s Mean You Stay Armed & Stay Very Dangerous ~ VIDEO

Opinion

“The American Revolution was conceived in churches and taverns. I think I’ll spend more time in both!” ~ Operator’s Adage.

This just happened in Texas…

Two men were unloading firewood from a truck in front of a Fort Worth, TX home. One was the homeowner, and the other was the delivery guy.

A single attacker (unknown to either man) suddenly approached them. He was completely naked and very “upset!”

The two men (neither armed) attempted to “reason” with this person, trying to persuade him to calm down and go away.

The naked man would have none of it! He suddenly grabbed a piece of firewood (stick) and struck the delivery guy on the head, knocking him unconscious. He then turned on the homeowner and chased him into his house. Once inside, the frightened homeowner locked the door.

The naked suspect then returned to the delivery guy, who was still unconscious, and beat him to death!

Responding police cornered the (still naked) suspect at a local B&B after he threatened a woman there. She was unhurt. The suspect had to be tased in order to effect an arrest. Suspect has a long, weary history of violent criminality. Of course, he should have been in prison or some other kind of “institution!”

Lessons:

  1. When it’s least expected, you’re elected!
  2. In a personal safety emergency, there will be no time to “get ready.”
    • Unless police are physically present already, there is zero probability they’ll arrive in time to save you.
  3. Getting into a hand-to-hand fight with a person who is out of his mind is no laughing matter!
    • There is no “reasoning” with such a person. They are unpredictable and extremely dangerous, as we see.
  4. Thinking you’re “safe” because you’re “at home” or “close to home” represents a dangerous delusion.
    • “Going armed” means “being armed” continuously, without fail! A gun sitting in a dresser drawer inside a home will be of no help when the homeowner is attacked while outside, even when the gun is technically only a few meters away.
  5. Our criminal/justice system, as currently administered, obviously has no intention to fulfill its legitimate function of protecting innocent people from violent criminals. Demonstrably vicious predators, instead of being jailed, are out and looking for victims, as we see!

Final lesson:

With the foregoing in mind, in our Instructional Courses, the most fundamental principles of learning are often the most difficult to articulate.

An example:

With our initiation into the “adventure of adulthood,” we are (and should be) shaken-out of our naive, cloistered, self-centered, childish way of looking at things (an increasingly difficult process for “millennials”)

Understand:

1) Life is hard.
2) Life is dangerous (and lethal; see point #8, below).
3) Life isn’t “fair”.
4) Life is not just about you.
5) You’re not that important.
6) You’re not in control.
7) Your excuses will never interest anyone.
8) You’re going to die.

That’s “The Deal.” Within that “prison of circumstance,” we all must strive to find ways to be heroes during our short tenure here on Earth!

Otherwise, you’ve locked yourself into “permanent adolescence,” ever in a wasted, clueless dreamworld, and are thus ineligible for induction into “Operator Status.”

How would you have handled this?  Let me know in the comments below.

“The purpose of education is teaching children what they should want!” ~ Plato.

Home Carry is smart, because 100% of all Home Invasions happen at Home.

This story struck me as wifey and I had just (two days ago) taken delivery of a load of wood to get us through the rest of this rather cold winter. Delivery guy dumped the load of wood near where it was needed, but we had to stack it. My 9mm was at my side through the entire event. We didn’t see any naked guys in the 32 degree weather. But I was ready for ’em.

A well practiced, loaded, carried handgun could have been put to good use. There would be a chance to see his daughter and grand children again. Carry 24/7/365 even if you must be civilly disobedient to do so. Practice and train on a regular basis. Keep your eyes open, situational awareness can save your life. Be willing to defend yourself and others.

Arm up and carry on

Ok, I don’t carry while doing yard work…..THAT’S gonna be tuff to do…. BUT.. I have 8 ..EIGHT different firearms scattered throughout my house in 8 different locations….I’m never more that a few steps from one of them. No kids in our home anymore. Be careful if you have kids…

Gotta watch out for those naked males.

In one of Miami, FL’s “flesh eating zombies” cases (Yes, we’ve had more than one.), the man arrested while eating the face off of his former friend was naked.

In another, the perp was strolling down US1 naked. When accosted by cops he threw his girlfriend’s severed head at them.

Actually, in the words of “Mama” as played by Vikki Lawrence, naked means you don’t have any clothes on. Nekkid means that and that you’re up to no good.

Gotta watch out for those nekkid males.

Persons who are intoxicated either because of drugs or alcohol feel less pain and can be very hard to deal with.

Add in a mental illness and one compounds the matter.

There are times when dealing with them that require a great deal of force up to deadly force.

Talking just will not do the job.

Be safe.

Just being approached by someone in such a state should have automatically put these two men on the defensive. The attacker was obviously not in his right mind and that alone should have set the homeowner and delivery man into a heightened sense of awareness and to expect the possibility of immediate attack.
Always expect the worst so as not to be surprised by it on the occasion when it occurs.

I’m glad somebody else questioned the inaction of the homeowner, that day. I wondered if he had no gun in his home with which to confront the assailant as he beat the firewood salesman to death. Absent a gun, did he have no spherical or ovoid objects in his own pants and at least a broom handle or something, rather than watch a man being beaten to death in his yard? If I were a member of the victim’s family, my words for this “man” would likely not be very kind.

If the homeowner was armed or not a frightened b!tch the delivery guy might possibly still be alive.

Thus can’t happen if your always packing . Violent criminals are deterred by a bullet in a vital usually.
