Cynically labeled ”The Late-Night Safety Plan,” (LNP) Minneapolis residents were recently treated to a talking head on TV announcing:
“You may not always see them, but Minneapolis Police want you to know they’re ‘closely watching’ to keep things safe.”
We are then assured that “dozens of uniformed officers are monitoring surveillance cameras.”
Even in the unlikely event that is all true, one might wonder why those same uniformed officers, instead of sitting on their fannies in front of monitors on the fifth floor of the HQ building, are not out on aggressive, active patrol, on-foot or in beat-cars, personally interacting with citizens, observing in person, and answering calls,,,the things we pay the police to do!
“Watching” serious crime remotely is apparently now preferred to having an actual uniformed police presence.
There is safety in doing nothing because “nothing” can always be done perfectly, a lesson obviously not lost on modern police administrators.
Unfortunately, the presence of CCTV cameras does not prevent crime—it never has. CCTV cameras (“monitored” or not) protect no one!
But, the ubiquitous presence of CCTV cameras does persuade some (among the naive) that “we’re ‘doing something’ about violent crime,” even when that “something” is little more than hollow, “feel-good” fantasy.
More DEI Logic:
I know a brilliant, highly qualified SWAT officer who recently applied to his agency for the position of Firearms Instructor.
He need not have applied!
The job went instead to an incompetent clown who couldn’t fight his way out of a Chinese whorehouse!
Subsequently, the chief articulated the hiring rationale that he “didn’t want ‘some gun-nut’ training his officers.”
The foregoing is a great example of “liability-first” thinking!

The other thing, we can’t forget, is the call to hire more cops, is pointless unless there’s a prosecutor who will prosecute, and a judge that will sentence.
Without effective courts, cops are merely play ground monitors.
Yep! There is safety in doing NOTHING! JUST do NOTHING like the CONTROLLING DEMOCRATS DO; as in the subway of newyork where the woman was burned to death by an ILLEGAL INVADER OF AMERICA!
An article last year in the Independent Journal reported Minneapolis PD at 60% of manning levels from the pre-peaceful summer of love city burnings. Seattle PD is in similar shape. Portland PD likewise. Washington and Oregon State Police are struggling to make academy numbers. Veteran officers from all of the aforementioned are lining up for lateral moves out of these Progressive Utopias and to places like Idaho, Utah, Texas and Arizona. When life changing/ending events happen in seconds the cops are only minuets away, except now they are there to just watch??? If you are among the ill advised people who think the cops are there to, “Protect and serve”, this article should wake you up. No, I will not live in a police state. I have been to communist/socialist countries that are such and I want nothing to do with them. The fact is the entire incident shown on video took less that two minuets. One thing he doesn’t mention is the Minneapolis PD has been hiring employees… EMPLOYEES, instead of actual cops. These employees are being used for everything short of actual policing. So, likely, the “cops” watching the cameras, aren’t even cops at all. Also Minneapolis has been having legal trouble has they have to have a certain number of cops to residents, according the the city charter. They haven’t come close to meeting that ratio in close to a decade. Not wanting a “gun nut” training his officers is absolutely not avoiding liability. It is courting liability. A typical “gun nut” knows what firearms can do and knows. Many including SWAT officer in article study less lethal options. They have nothing to prove and know when they can put off use of lethal force. In short they are far less likely to have an unjustified shoot – in fact many can find ways to avoid shooting even when it could be justified and less “gun nutty” officers would.
After reading this and not hearing the video if there was audio, something occurred to me. The police are supposed to protect us but are not required to even though the care says to serve and protect, but they are required to get the bad guy, that is what they get paid for. With cameras and facial recognition software maybe now the idea is let the crime happen so we the police don’t get hurt and figure out who he is and then go arrest him when we do a late night raid on his home or at McDonalds. The system pigs are there to keep this twisted jewish system working as intended. They prefer to target whoever is an easy victim for the artist formerly known as the justice system, because they are in fact mostly criminals. Even normies can understand the Daniel Penny case was entirely based on race, they just can’t continue the thought process any further.
