This isn’t a “safe”, it’s a thin sheet metal box that will delay a thief or a teenager with a screwdriver about 10 minutes max, before they access the contents. They won’t even need an angle grinder to cut it, thin 14 or 16 gauge sheet metal. Waste of money. Better off using conceal furniture.
I have the Gunvault Speedvault SV500 which is basically the same thing minus the fingerprint reader. The steel is 18 gauge on mine, so probably the same on this one. Although they say it can be vehicle mounted, I really don’t see it personally. And sure, like any smaller safe, it can probably be “defeated” in short order, but this is a great way to have a gun handy without leaving it out just lying around. Bad things can happen in very short order with an unattended firearm, and at this price point, it’s cheap insurance.
