Knife Rights Director of Legislative Affairs, Todd Rathner, was in Olympia, Washington, on Wednesday to lobby for SB 5534, the bipartisan “Spring Blade” Ban Repeal bill, which went on to pass the Senate by a vote of 46-2. It’s now off to the House.
SB 5534 would repeal the ban on sales and civilian possession of “spring blade” (automatic) knives, as well as specifically exclude them from the definition of “dangerous weapon.”
We sincerely appreciate the efforts by our bipartisan bill sponsors, Senators T’wina Nobles and Phil Fortunato and Senate Law & Justice Committee Chair Manka Dhingra for moving this bill through the Senate.

About Knife Rights
Knife Rights is America’s grassroots knife owners’ organization; leading the fight to Rewrite Knife Law in America™ and forging a Sharper Future for all Americans™. Knife Rights efforts have resulted in 51 bills enacted repealing knife bans in 32 states and over 200 cities and towns since 2010.
I love seeing these good news updates about knives and other arms. I think too often people forget that the second amendment includes all arms and not just firearms. Every single arms law is an infringement!
Now if they could do the same with semi-auto rifles and mag restrictions…..?
