I have a vague recollection that in order to comply with NFA, smooth-bore barrels had to be 18″+. Taurus judge uses a fully rifled barrel resulting spread so rapid as to be virtually worthless. Remember reading about someone trying straight rifling (rifling with infinite twist rate). Never heard whether legality of that was resolved. Anyone know whether these barrels are rifled or not – and can confirm or correct my limited NFA knowledge? I have one of these, and recoil with 00 buck is light! Way less than I expected. Optics planet has a folding brace adapter. and adorning a streamlight 1,000 lumens, resides under my bed….LOVE IT! (and I paid $500 when they first came out…..
