This has to be the dumbest pairing of a round with a weapon ever invented. Why even have a barrel? A .357 Magnum is a long range, high velocity handgun round, the value of which comes from its muzzle velocity! Muzzle velocity is proportional to barrel length! Long range requires a long sight radius! This has neither! Strange how in the age of plastic striker fired, 9mm pistols, Colt keeps reinventing the wheel, or, shall we say, wheel gun…
The market, does not want revolvers. Sure, some people do, but, what percent of pistol buyers want one? Pretty much no one unless you’re a serious handgun hunter. And the cost of revolver ammo? Even plain Jane .38spls… YIKES.

Colt’s 1911’s are old. Their AR15’s are old. I’ve never even seen a new Colt AR15 or 1911.

One would think CZ having bought Colt would’ve shoved some new brains into the outfit. Guess not.

Colt making them out of lumber now . Lumber is through the roof. Little steep for me. Not a deal fars I’m concerned. Yikes !

This is not your father’s Python. Because it has flaws one of which Colt wouldn’t fix, which is, it is very particular on what ammo it will shoot. After being sold to a foreign investor I have not heard of fixes being made to resolve this issue. I used fixes as a plural because there are more than one issue.
