Trump Slump Plus World Order Resets Has Markets in Flux ~ VIDEO

“Who never doubted, never half-believed. Where doubt, there truth is- ’tis her shadow.” ~ Philip J Bailey, English poet.

I just got off the phone with Pete Pi at Defiant Ammunition.

Pistol ammunition sales, particularly for “serious” carry-loads, are very slow throughout the industry right now!

I can personally testify that training/consulting is also slow, and my friends and colleagues in this business readily concur.

Gun retailers are telling me that gun and ammunition sales are very slow, too.

Simultaneously, Las Vegas casinos are empty. The whole town is currently devoid of the usual throng of tourists.

Prices are up, and it seems people right now are reluctant to spend money, and they are apparently not as worried about violent crime and impending anti-gun legislation as during the previous Administration.

Specifically, demand for 9mm 115/124gr +p TCX, 380 Auto 80gr TCX, 357Mg, and 38Spl is wobbly but still there, and 10mm, while trailing behind, still enjoys some standing. There is significantly less demand for 45ACP and no demand at all for 40S&W, 357Sig, and 30SC.

Loading schedules must be adjusted accordingly, and predicting what constitutes “adequate inventories” is difficult indeed, far more challenging than in the past.

The DJT Administration is turning on its head all kinds of pompous/grandiloquent buffoons, as well as bloated/entrenched institutions, bureaucracies, agendas, and expectations. As a result, people at all levels are bewildered, unsettled, anxious, unsure of what’s next, and I believe that is what is driving the current conservative trend in spending habits.

Of course, this can altogether change tomorrow morning!

Lacking the gift of prophecy, I won’t be predicting the future. Suffice it to say that continuous personal preparedness, at all levels, is still well-advised.

Listening to all sources of information, with a high degree of cynicism, is also well advised!

“Chinese use two virtually identical brush-strokes to write the word ‘crisis.’ One represents danger. The other, opportunity!” ~ JFK.

Add in some AZ micro breweries. #2 in the state closed 2 of 4 retail locations. Another closed their taproom and only brew for distribution. The drought started late last fall and hasn’t let up. Discretionary spending seems to be on hold.

Strange, after talking to my shooting buddies, all of us without exception have been stocking ammo again because of the good deals online and in the stores.

I’m just one person, but in my case “demand” is low because ammo is way too damn expensive. A brick (500 rds) of .22LR used to cost $15. As I write this, looking at the website of a local gun store chain in my area, I can’t even find a brick anymore. The closest thing is a “bulk” pack of 525 rounds of Federal Champion for $39.98 (which comes out to $38.08/500 for those who fear math)… and Federal Champion is the cheap stuff! Similar comparisons ca be made for other calibers, too. Want to talk about why my .45LC… Read more »

Farnam spoke to ” . . . Pete Pi at Defiant Ammunition . . . ” I’m not surprised he heard sales are down, all premium ammo has gone up, and people are less inclined to spend even more for off-brand ammo from some boutique manufacturer. Just like beer isn’t automatically better if it comes from some microbrew (some microbrews are downright foul) ammo isn’t automatically better from some relatively small loader, especially when the big guys seem to be pretty consistently getting it right. And some people – including yours truly – have real doubts about the justification for… Read more »

I stocked up on ammo in 2020. Also stocked up on emergency food. My recommendation now is to buy silver, and avoid digital currency.

Not sure where the survey was conducted, but I shoot all of these. Admittedly 9mm is the most frequent, but I DO shoot them all. Do I stockpile all of them? No. Mainly because of cost & availability. But I DO have some on-hand.

that is total bravo sierra, corporations earn entirely too much and never pay the workers to the same level as executives. overly rich plutocrats are worth more then the entire workforce. there is has been a huge disparity between corporate earnings and workers pay. from 1956 to 1972 as a single earner you could earn enough to support a family, have a good lifestyle, own your home, and also a weekend home, have new stuff, pay for your kids to attend college and also have retirement savings better than social security. which was an augment, not ever a full retirement… Read more »

IMOA, I’ve been looking at ammo online and visiting the stores, ammo is still expensive. Tariffs on brass, copper, primers etc. are affecting loaded ammo and all reloading components are ridicules as well. Academy Sports is well stocked with ammo, but the prices are up there too.
