Overland Park, Kan. — ( Bushnell Outdoors, an industry leader in outdoor product innovation, has introduced a comprehensive new lighting line that provides best-in-class light output combined with legendary optical technology from Bushnell to deliver brighter light and better sight.

The new comprehensive Rubicon line includes flashlights, lanterns and headlamps.

A reliable light source is a key piece of gear for any outdoor adventure, but bringing light to the wilderness is not always an easy task, with some lights emitting an uneven glare or not producing enough light and others creating tunnel vision or displaying incorrect color temperatures. With its Rubicon line, Bushnell Outdoors has addressed the problems with many outdoor lighting products, while providing consumers with more lumens per dollar.

Built on an ethos that performance is everything, Bushnell Outdoors outfitted each Rubicon product with high-quality, energy-efficient Cree LEDs for maximum brightness and extended battery life. By pairing the expansive optics expertise from Bushnell with premium LEDs, Rubicon products produce collimated light beams to deliver a brighter, clearer and more comfortable lighting experience.

In addition to delivering more lumens per dollar, Bushnell Outdoors offers a lower cost of ownership, with nine products in the line operating on AA batteries and D cell batteries powering the 350-lumen lantern. Despite using a less expensive battery source, a regulated circuit in each device ensure competitive run times and optimum light output throughout the battery life.

Rugged and durable, the Rubicon flashlight series includes six models in a variety of sizes and light intensities. Constructed with aircraft-grade aluminum, each flashlight is ANSI (American National Standards Institute) certified and incorporates the exclusive Total Internal Reflective (T.I.R.) optic for greater transparency and vision. With light outputs ranging from 100 to 1,000 lumens, each flashlight offers several illumination settings, including a Red Halo light designed to enhance sight without compromising natural night vision.

Available in a 150- or 250-lumen model, Rubicon headlamps are equipped with multiple illumination settings, including the Red Halo, and an optional floodlight for improved close-range visibility. At the push of a button, the unique boost mode triggers temporary light output beyond the highest setting for extended visibility. In addition, the 250-lumen headlamp features an automatic dimming system that reduces reflective glare when illuminating objects at close ranges.

From a family camping trip to a backcountry adventure, the two Rubicon lanterns are versatile and built for adventure. Lightweight and compact, the 200-lumen lantern features folding legs that allow it to be positioned on virtually any surface or a carabiner that makes it easy to hang from a tent or tree. Built to illuminate camp, the 350-lumen lantern offers three levels of brightness, the Red Halo light and a spotlight that instantly focuses the lumens into a concentrated beam of light.

With 10 products in the line, there is a Rubicon solution for every adventure. Available in February 2014, the six flashlights have suggested retail prices ranging from $29.99 to $99.99, while the headlamps are available for $29.99 or $49.99, and the two lanterns retail for $29.99 and $49.99.

Designed for the modern outdoorsman, Bushnell Outdoors is a new collection of rugged and durable gear built to withstand the rigors of the trail, off-trail or wherever camp is pitched. For more information about Bushnell products, please visit
