The threat from Islam really hasn’t changed in fourteen centuries. We in the West should have gotten used to it by now!
Since 600AD, Islam has maintained a belligerently malignant foreign policy. They invade other cultures, overtly or subvertly, establish beachheads, then local colonies, and then gradually take over, through brutality and intimidation. They don’t assimilate. They tolerate no personal freedom, no other religious faiths, and no criticism. They have no tolerance even for fellow Muslims who choose to live in peace beside Jews and Christians!
Islam has never been anything more than an ever-expanding system of brutal slavery, masquerading as a “religion.”
Weak, self-apologetic cultures, like ours, pretend not to notice their excesses, because actually confronting them would require genuine courage and resolve, seldom seen among self-absorbed Western politicians.
Thus, “radical” Islamics, fully supported by the entire Islamic community, will continue to massacre innocents everywhere they can, all the while yelling “God is Great,” and cowardly Westerners will continue to delude ourselves with terms like “lone wolf” and “isolated incident.”
Here is a little history:

Islam’s reputation was exactly the same 350 years ago. The difference is that our ancestors knew how to call a spade a spade, as we see!
Western Culture’s devotion to personal freedom and liberty have always been in direct conflict with Islam. Our philosophy has never failed us, but our courage has, miserably, particularly now!

I wonder if the French still sing this today!

I also wonder how often that is yet heard in the UK, or in the USA!
French security forces are wonderfully competent, as we see. But now, UK’ s MI5 is predicting an imminent new round of coordinated Islamic violence directed against Western/Jewish/Christian targets, worldwide.
Our courageous ancestors knew well the vile nature of the Islamic threat and gallantly opposed it, with varying degrees of success. In this age, our only real challenge is to honestly confront what is in front of us. So far, at least at the national level, self-imposed delusion yet rules!
Future generations depend upon us to preserve Western Civilization, our blessed Democratic Republic, and our culture of personal liberty and freedom.
Our failure will disgrace us for thousand generations!

What did it take to end the threat to America from the Barbary Pirates? Moslems only understand brute force.
John, Your article lacks focus. After a beginning that began to weave a story about Islamic aggression against the west, you threw in a couple of British songs and wrapped it up. Would you mind doing some homework and laying out in detail the history of Islamic attacks on westerners and upon each other? For instance the Shia and Sunni Muslims have been killing each other since the time of Mohammed. And the history of aggression against Europe is long and persistent.
